I was in your exact position except I was 13 and he was 24 and it went on for 3 years. ( im 18 now..) But exactly like you, the blame was placed on me and nobody did anything to get this adult man who was grooming me out of my life. My mother allowed me to live at his place the entire 3 years until I left myself finally. She talked to his father and they both knew what was happening, nobody tried to stop it. She didn't even know the 24 yr old dude.. She had met him 3 times, initially met over Craigslist when selling a little dirt bike and then a few times after when he visited. The first month I was going there nobody knew where he lived.... But, my point here is, it isn't your fault, it was never YOUR fault. It's the people around you for not stopping it when they realized what was happening. You were a child. Even if you were 16 - 18, you're still a child. You need to be protected.. It's so heartbreaking how many people weren't properly protected and went through things like this... but it isn't your fault 🫶🏻

Many county DA’s have told the police not to arrest on the spot. They want to investigate the evidence. There is a lot more involved than most watchers realize. They think that if the cops don’t come and arrest right away an arrest never takes place.
