In this video we enjoy a 3.5 mile circular walk starting at the tucked away location of Predannack Wollas Farm on the Lizard Peninsula. After leaving the farm, we take public footpaths to the coast, picking up the South West Coast Path towards Mullion Cove, a stunningly beautiful harbour among towering cliffs.
So what secrets does this walk uncover? We discover waterfalls, shipwrecks, legends and even an Agatha Christie connection, plus loads more besides. A most interesting walk with plenty of history on both the coastal outbound route and homebound field route, all topped off with the most exceptional scenery and coastal views.
The standard description bit…
We are Sarah and Andrew and we film our walks around Cornwall and publish on KZfaq, usually weekly. Sometimes we stay in accommodation in Cornwall and upload our vlog. Sarah is fascinated by sea glass and likes to collect it so there may be the occasional sea glass video too. The channel is a hobby and we both have normal day jobs!
Frequently asked questions:
What camera do we use?
Since December 2018 we have used: Canon Powershot G7x MkII
How do I find the books you use?
Most are still in print although some we pick up in charity shops and may be available on Amazon secondhand. Please refer to the video for the book titles. Every video shows the book three times. Sorry but we can’t put a link in every description.
Best time of year to visit Cornwall?
We love May, June for flora and fauna, July and September for spectacular scenery.
What is your dog’s name?
Sorry but we do not release the name of our dog, perhaps you can make up your own name for him.

Nice to see you both out and about again with doggy. Lovely peaceful walk, starting with a wobbly gate & gingerly creeping past a bit of bully on the way! Always a treat on the Lizard Peninsular. I was down in Cornwall when they were filming And Then There Were None! Had a long chat to the sound guy, but no sign of Aiden. Blustery windy overcast evening I remember....won't be seeing much of him again down there for a while as he went and got married recently!! Great walk. J x

This was lovely! And how nice it must have been to get this fantastic weather on your first coastal walk in a while :) I love that you give all those details along the way. I ended up ordering the DVD of "And then there were none" ;-) I am normally not a great fan of crime series, but I can enjoy some of the British series. And Agatha Christie and Aidan Turner is a combination I wouldn't miss :-) thank you! Torunn :)

Those lower coastal trails don't look so safe, given recent erosion-related landslides. But I can tell, after being cooped-up for so long, u prob wanted to skip dn the lane to do whirlies in the meadow! Then again, the cam mt not take kindly to that, so... Thx 4 another beautiful outing. Stay safe & take care now!

@@CornishWalkingTrails It was so cute, u two were making sounds like little kids do when their parents aren't helping to bundle them up fast enuff to go out & play on the 1st snow day of the season! But yes, u must be right. From our perspective, it seems we're (you're) toes curled over cliff's edge daring it to give! I do think once Andrew got a good look at the size of that land-slip thru his own eyes & not the camera lens, ya'll did back up a bit. Scary as it seems, we luv seeing it, tho.

What a beautiful day to start your walking trails, apart from the wind. It was so strong we couldn’t hear Andrews jokes. It looked quite muddy in some of the fields, especially where that poor old cow was stood. Nice walk, but you poor dog never got a chance to dig any holes. xx

So good I watched it twice! Enlighten me on the origins of gate-leaning, pls.
@CornishWalkingTrails
@CornishWalkingTrails 3 жыл бұрын
Gate leaning is a little habit picked up from my Dad. When I was a child and we walked as a family and he felt we all needed a rest, he would usually spot a gate with a view and say "Time for a bit of gate leaning?" Perfect excuse to stop and take in the view and fresh air! Sarah :)

@@CornishWalkingTrails Much obliged - I know yr busy. Great recounting - A wise man, yr pops. I've 1, mebbe 2, pics of my son when young, gate-leaning midst farmland come sunset shortly before Daddy passed (R.I.P.) When I was 5, we lived in a tiny silver trailer on a big mountainside in WV. We used to play a driving-home game upon reaching the farm field prior to our rd. The farmer's grass & clover field was lg, wooden-fenced, enclosed 1 horse, & sat on a steep, rocky decline dn from the dirt/gravel main road. At least once a day, the farmer would walk his pasture's perimeter. Our entire game was guessing if he was out walking when we'd pass by his gate. Upon approach, Dad would ask Mom (R.I.P.) & I, "Is he walkin'?" Before looking, we'd each answer, "yes," or "no." The only prize was the satisfaction of knowing u got it right. A silly, simple game, but a fam trad that I thought would last forever. But the farmer was old even way back then, & as days passed, there were more correct no's than yes's. Then one day, he just stopped walking. If spirit is, I'm pretty sure what his is doing. Thx 4 the listen!

The tumble down wall was probably built as an Art project and not by dry stone wall builders, if they had built it it would have lasted for hundreds of years.
