Ryze is one of those champions that got mangled so many times that he feels nothing like the original to me. I'm sure there are plenty of good reasons for all the changes, but I look at his current form and I just...don't have any attraction to it. It isn't the same as it was, but its also somehow not novel, and to top it all off its now tuned for pro play and the kit doesn't downscale well. Hes very strong if played well, and yet I feel like his place in the game is now fungible. If they took him out one day I'm not sure how long it would take for me to even notice.
