Was I the only person that saw Hugh Glass shoot the Grizzly bear at point blank range in the neck with a rife before stabbing it several times in the neck with a dagger? Yes, grizzlies are hard to kill but goddamn! they aren't indestructible. Shooting a bear in the beck and then stabbing it several times in the same gapping wound would eventually kill it.

This story is complete crap. Why would an honorable Yautja mount a deer skull as a trophy? There is no threat what so ever from a deer. Further more, if this Yautja can't land a fatal blow on a bear, his clan would kill him for failing against such a weak prey. If Scar can kill a Xenomorph then this "blooded" Yautja should have no problem with a bear. Crappiest hunter of all time.

Chris Gren yes always had that play around in my head.. He must have either used he's canon or just oneshotted him with the spear or else it's just 1 bite and dead.. Anyway how old is Yautja race anyway?? Cause that's like 65 million years.. In all that time I wonder what their true powers is when it comes to maybe fighting another species like the guaold from Stargate.. But we can only imagine.. Would be a nice TV show.. That is actually the dumbest thing I've seen today. There are accounts of human hunters, even alone, who manage to impale bears on spears or some other weapon. And you'll find no shortage of bears killed by ranged weapons. Then you have predators, who are trained from birth.. Thrown out at a young age to prove themselves against creatures with acid for blood as a rite of passage. Creatures who regularly punch holes through concrete and supposedly weigh over 520 lbs, one who is now overpowered by a bear.. After missing every strike in close combat. EVEN with a fucking spear/polearm.. Smh. Who thought this comic was a good idea? The choice to make predators die seems to be done for the sake of simplicity. The end result is that they make something considerably less entertaining than what they could have done otherwise.

No shit brown bears are tough. But if you take everything into consideration then the predator losing, and not even being able to place a proper hit is not believable. Humans are not equal to predators and this has been made abundantly clear in most cases. Dutch was also not an average man. The rest of his team got violently poked to death, did you even watch the movie? Or are you just going "hurr pred fanboys" because of boredom? I only see people like you mention the characters with plot armor because you can't think of any better examples. It shows more than a lack of knowledge.

So the predator plasma cannon was not able to lock unto and shoot such a big target as a grizzly bear, yet the predator plasma cannon can locked unto a moving target such as a zenomorph and destroy it. Interesting story. Somehow it seems this predator is very incompetent in using his wrist blades.

+EtakaOjongTanyi19009 parental instinct is just as potent as the instinct to stay alive. And animals eat their own offspring so I don't give a damn about parental instincts, it's animal instinct regardless of the situation. would that bear be extra aggressive? yeah but so would that predator be in the life of death situation it put itself in. And logically heightened reflexes and speed accumulated during the repeated exposure to that situation would make that predator extremely more dangerous than some "mom bear" with "hormonal issues". I'm not saying that the bear would instinctly lose just that repeated failure to use its weapons against it in such a spectacular failed attempts is just not dependable.

Your movie coverage is tops and when you give us these backstories it makes the channel that much greater. I know that many of us who have been fans of the movies for all these years have missed out on a lot of stories with the predators and I thank you for bring them to us. I may even go out and buy some of these comics.

You know what, Acidglow...I agree with you. Predators die WAY too often. I’m actually way more depressed than the Predator’s mask. But when a Predator survives, and becomes a main character, that’s when a Predator story gets good. There’s even a comic book called Magnus Robot Fighter vs Predator. And boy, this comic wowed me as a child. Maybe you could give it a look. And maybe I should look at it, again.

I used to collect Predator comics many years ago, and I remember, in one of them, a story that was told in pictures only, it no words. It involved an African tribesman set out on a ritual lion hunt, only to end up having to face a Predator instead. I can't remember the full details now, and the comics themselves are gone, but I do remember the ending. We see the tribesman many years later, watching what we assume to be a Predator ship coming in to land. The Tribesman has been blinded in one eye and his face is scarred from his battle with the predator. Then we see him rise, and on his shield we see, rather than lions' teeth, he has set the mandibles of the Predator he defeated...

Isn't the yautjas strong enough to easily break stone and concrete? I mean, a predator grabbed a xenomorph by the tail and swung it around so hard that it easily broke the stone pillars around them. Granted, the pillars werent completely broken down but he still broke it with just physical strength. So shouldn't a yautja be physically stronger than the bear?

Xenomorph would have too many advantages since it's whole body is a weapon even if the bear does pierce it's body with a bite it has acid blood. I think the art and action in this comic looks pretty darn good but the problem is that the Predator did have it's shoulder canon which unless someone wants to correct me is only given to a skilled hunter who's earned it. So I have hard time believing that this hunter would lose to something humans with with guns usually out hunt. So the Yautja took it on with it's barehands yet it's a Yautja who's been skilled enough to earn his shoulder cannon. While the Xenomorph do to their external skeleton are far stronger then the Yautja the skilled Yautja can still be a threat to Xenomorph in hand to hand. I don't buy that a skilled enough to get a Shoulder Cannon hunter would lose to a bear in unarmed combat.

Street buddy 3 predators can end a whole colony of aliens with their shoulder canons and wrist blades. I'm pretty sure the predator is stronger than the aliens. In one comic a predator chopped off both the aliens tails, held them up in the air by their throats and broke their necks.

I love the concept of a Predator hunting wild animals and relying more on melee and brute strength and agility to beat them, since animals lack the same intellectual advantages that we humans have. They did this a tad in AVP2: Primal Hunt, the video game, if I remember right. Alien creatures on a planet that were dangerous, giving you something new to fight before we got to the marines and xenos. The execution here, however, leaves much to be desired. Firstly, the most annoying aspect of the story is how damned OP the bear was. I can see a bear being strong enough to tussle with a Predator, but the fact it seemed skilled enough to *dodge* attacks was stupid. Secondly, the fact this Predator kept MISSING hits that even I could fucking make was atrocious. I'm not even joking. A deer is dangerous if it charges after you with its horns, but the scans tell a different story. More over, would a deer, even an exceptionally strong male, be worthy of taking a skull as a trophy? I don't believe so. Then there's the fact this Predator clearly wasn't so badly injured that he couldn't recover and take another shot at this thing. No, he runs back to his ship and blows himself up, because he realizes he's a total pansy. At least the original Jungle Hunter self-destructed because he was injured beyond recovery and Dutch wouldn't finish him off.

I just love seeing those hunters hunt anything. they are both savage and bloodthirsty berserkers and cunning stealthy assassins. its very intriguing.

What I would like to see is a samurai vs a predator, 2 honorable warriors. I'd also like to see the predator win, and the samurai kill himself to reclaim his honor after being defeated, and the predators reaction to this. Just the 2 of them running into each other though, no annoying side characters. Unless its like a traveler witnessing the fight and spreading the story which would become a legend in old Japanese folklore, that would be incredible.

I think we give the Predator too much credit! On one hand, they have the technology to kill us in seconds but they hunt us because we are an intriguing species and are quite formidable when it comes to duels! And as for a duel against a bear... it's a bear, not a human!
