Ohh now I understand. He couldn't change the past that happened. See, he kills the fizzle bomber and marries that Store girl. But he decides to become fizzle bomber because if he wouldn't, he won't be able to exist because time travel wouldn't have been invented without fizzle bomber. He didn't want to hurt his wife (store lady) by dying because he loved her too. SO THAT'S WHY HE BECOMES FIZZLE BOMBER. TO SAVE HIMSELF FROM DEATH. Now he also didn't want to be BAD AT THE SAME TIME, so fizzle bomber actually kills those people who will become menace in future thereby being an unsung hero.
@tumbi975 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I came to a different conclusion. He became the Fizzle bomber because the time travel it took to kill the fizzle bomber gave him psychosis. So even after stopping the fizzle bomber, the psychosis makes him believe he's doing good hy bombing, so he becomes the fizzle bomber. So he cant stop the fizzle bomber because if he does, he becomes the bomber and if he chose not to kill the bomber, the bomber keeps on bombing.

The thing that blows my mind the most with predestination paradoxes is that if it were real and there’s no beginning or end, it just always was then it’s mad to think in the beginning there was the Big Bang and then out of no where there is just this constant loop that appears. You can’t even argue that it’s man made because it’s not possible to engineer it from a humans standpoint if there’s no starting or ending point to it. It just makes you wonder if it were real what made the loop into existence? And another point is that if you were this paradox, Jane/John, then what are you really because for Jane/John when you’re born, you’re already dead because the pattern is set in stone. If you were to put yourself in the babies point of view, old you put yourself there and is already living his life, or rather, you have already lived your life. So you’ve already began living before you were born lol I’m glad these paradoxes are fiction. Making my brain hurt.

At one point, she said she stop looking herself in the mirror when she was little. So she never knew how she looked as an adult. But as to why John didn't notice how he looked exactly the man who she was with before is unknown. I think is because he looked more like a man when he got older (when he was at the bar, he looked different than when he initially looked in the mirror as a man). It's still kind of a stretch, but yeah.

@Crucifier616 жыл бұрын
This is how I think the loop got started. Please brace yourself, it's a long read. Robinson started it. He found the case and knew of its power but what he didn't count on were the effects of "jumping" too many times. This resulted in him creating an agency to monitor and possibly change the course of history. He intentionally looked for the "perfect" agent in which the effects of multiple jumps would eventually end not by his or anyone else's hand, but by their own. He found such a person, the girl, who, with the right motivation and course of events, change into a guy. He created the motivation by creating a fake "recruitment" center for woman to work in NASA. Bear in mind this is the 50's and NASA was a very sought after career. She would receive training for her future self as a guy. Robinson knew about the paradox that would have started so he sent back future pre-lunatic barkeep before the face change to chase his future post-lunatic self without telling him who he was really chasing. What Robinson did not expect however was pre-lunatic barkeep kidnapping himself and putting "her" in the distant past to grow up. That is why he/she could not tell their past selves about the timeline and with Robinson not finding out. If he would have found out, killing just one of them would have ended all their lives, or might I say, their life. What do you think?

What does the ending dialogue means "I miss you dreadfully??"

He is living with such a depth of loneliness and despair without Jane that he "dreads" that he is willing to turn into the fizzle bomber just to be able to interact with her again; despite the fact of the many lives that will be lost due to this decision.

He is Jane. Then why he misses her?
@jonathanbutler33464 жыл бұрын
@@athulyarajendran9727 He has been a man for much longer than his time as Jane. She is merely a distant memory. Time jumping has made the gap even wider and with the building psychosis, she is even harder to grasp anymore.

How Robertson started the whole loop?

So basically there was no point to this movie? Everything will continue happening as it always has happened. The cycle wasn't truly broken right?
@Niphredyl6 жыл бұрын
dubberman d yes if you detach yourself from the order of the events, it already happened to John/ Jane. His purpose is to save lives by working to the company in other missions, and maintain his existence (not to break the loop) by these events. The movie shows this relaization of his in otherwise paradox life he has. He was literally born to this job he was predestined.

Niphredyl i dont think he did anything else than trying to catch the bomber. thats how i remember it at least.

@@Pierre-dz3ut She's mentally ill, she created the fictious loop in her mind as a child. It's why almost everyone she encounters is her.

@@Pierre-dz3ut He did, while he still had the face of John. Remember they said he did more field work than anyone. So he stopped alot of crime with the fizzle bomber being the one that got away, the only crime he couldn't stop.The only thing he did while he had Ethan Hawke's face was travel a few weeks to 1970 before he met up with John. Probably so he could get the job as bartender ready. And evefrom there is what we see in thr movie
