Puka should get offensive rookie of the year. He is arguably the best rookie receiver in NFL history and he might lose the reward the second overall pick who missed a couple of games. Puka was drafted in the 5th round. THE FIFTH ROUND! And he has become one of the best rookies in NFL history. Get rid of the quarterback bias and give it to Puka. MVP is most VALUABLE player. CMC is great but Lamar is easily more valuable and there isn’t really a debate. For majority of the season the mvp was another player on cmcs team. If you take cmc off the niners they’re still a 10+ win team. Their offense still has a top 5 receiver duo, top 5 tight end, top 5-10 qb and an elite o line. Take Lamar off the ravens and they don’t even make the playoffs (they’re the 1 seed). CMC has the best zone run playcaller/play designer, the best blocking tight end, and one of the best line man of all time along with an elite qb and elite weapons to help him in the pass game. Lamar’s best weapon missed most of the year. Hes throwing to a rookie, a 75 year old receiver with no acl, and a backup tight end. Hes the only pro bowler on that offense

The difference between this season and the 2019 season for Lamar is that he has way more weapons. What Lamar does on the football field goes beyond stats. He makes defenses second guess themselves. He's now elite in the pocket so they cant just contain him because he'll dish. His stats don't look as exciting as 2019 because he can now rely on his team more (better receivers, better offensive scheme, Gus Edwards punching it in for 13 tds), but Lamar is for sure the MVP. You take Lamar off the Ravens and they're in more trouble than if you took CMC off the 49ers

In baseball Wins above replacement is a stat that compares the players wins added to the team over the wins a replacement level player would. This would be very interesting if a stat like this could exist in football and would make the mvp race and other awards more interesting. This would help see how the different positions would affect the team over a guy they could sign would.
