My Hot Take: This season might be the start for the toughest seasons for the top 4 spots. There are 7 teams vying for those 4 spots. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham. It's war from now on.

With such an overhaul of players at Chelsea, I think it's far too early for them realistically to be challenging for the title. I'm a Chelsea fan so don't get me wrong, with Poch and all the new players, I do think there's a very exciting season ahead for us. Overall, I think a top 4 finish for us would be a great result as competition for the top 4 alone has increased massively over the last few years

How delusional are these people even to put Liverpool and Chelsea in thier top 4. Their midfield is in disarray, they dont have 6 to play with, with trent inverting, their backline are one injury away from thier season totally imploding. They need minimum 2 more definsive signing to even come near top 4. Chelsea is on a total rebuild with very young players and thier nost important player is out of 1/3rd of the season, unless they get 2 more midfield ( which i feel they will get) they can't compete for top 4 with just assembled squad, sometimes money doesn't solve the issue and it takes time. Manunited has a very good squad, they have 3rd best squad after city and arsenal and they are removing all thier deadwood, i feel thier only mistake this season is mason mount who doesn't sit with thier midfield, mainoo played well in thier team than United and they are 1 striker away from challenging tge league. And why none are speaking about Newcastle LMAO, they had one of the best preseason, last season their one of the most important issue was they couldn't chance their ingame tactics, so they had to concede a lot of draws. Now they signed tonali who gives them the tactical flexibility to interchange with bruno and Joelinton. Their midfield is one if the scariest most robest jack of all trades midfield, they are gonna run over every single PL team out there and thier couldn't produce goals from thier left side, and they again made a screwd signing getting Harvey Barnes, who outperforms his xG for last 4 seasons. If Newcastle gets another RCB or LB, they got 4 best squad in the league. They aren't signing big names but they are signing what players they need to move forward, iam pretty confident Newcastle are gonna suprise hell lot of people and they didn't finish top 4 last season due to luck

Haaland won’t score much without Man City? Wasn’t he not scoring extremely well in Dortmund? 86 goals in 89 games. I think he’ll still scoring very well. The way he plays at city is so different to how he played at Dortmund. I think he’s more versatile than people give him credit for.

The problem with Tonali is most of is assists/ chance creation in Serie A was from set pieces - Trippier hogged them all in pre-season. He also doesn't do enough progressive passes and in pre-season has looked poor defensively. Tidy footballer but needs to get up to speed, I think Howe will ease him in over August.
