Two empty chairs to his right and two to his left Four totally random volunteers are assisted to the four empty seats The Mentalist begins his winter’s night tale And offers the new deck to one of the spectators nearest him to open and shuffle the deck Remove one freely selected card and keep face down without looking at its value And to pass the deck onto one of the three reaming volunteer’s that spectator is requested again to shuffle the deck remove from any were in the deck and keep the card face down and to pass the deck to one of the reaming two volunteer’s And again the volunteer follows the same instructions of shuffling the deck removing one face down and passing the deck to the reaming volunteer The last volunteer shuffles and again removes one face down card from a totally random location in the deck. Now the mentalist takes out a pocket note pad and writes something he doesn’t say what. And then places the closed pocket note book onto the table. The four volunteers are now asked to look at their cards and importantly remember them without showing the mentalist or the other volunteer’s. The mentalist gathers the face down cards and the deck and places them behind his back to the volunteer’s and states that so he cannot know were in the deck the cards are randomly placed in four random locations He the then brings out the deck and each volunteer in turn is requested to say stop as the mentalist riffles up the side of the deck cuts at that spot and turns the portion above face up spreading and showing the face up cards and placed back to bottom of deck face down. The cut too face down card is removed and kept face down Each remaining volunteer in turn is requested to say stop as the cards are riffled up again each time showing the cards face up at the cut two point and placing to bottom of the deck. Now the mentalist has four face down cards which he picks up and places one card at a time in front of the four volunteer’s He goes to each volunteer in turn and asks them to name their freely selected card. Each card matches the volunteer’s freely elected card The note pad is opened and reads Volunteer one will select card (name and value) Volunteer two will select card (name and value) Volunteer three will select card (name and value) Volunteer four will select card (name and value) Thank you for taken part in my winter’s tale.
