Sure industries will evolve to compensate for this new tool that is being developed, but you can be your ass that the Companies and Corporations that can afford to use this stuff will. AI doesn't need to sleep, doesn't need time off. No sick days, or maternity leave. CS field is about to be gutted, if they can actually get an LLM to the point where it can code on the same level as a senior software engineer. There are many companies pushing to reach that goal as we speak, and that's not the only thing AI is being developed for.

A powerful hammer, but it doesn't have the need to create. Humans drive that. We must not overestimate the impact of AI, just like we overestimate the impact of weaver machines back in the 1800s.

I went to college for classical music performance but decided to become a software engineer and I've often thought about software generated music. When I write songs I don't stumble upon the chord progressions, those are all math. The melodies are the only "creative" parts and those could arguably be generated without complex regression algorithms

For years now I've been saying we need to rebrand the acronym AI to stand for Algorithmic Imitation If you notice all the program did was restylize the original content. Nothing new was actually created. A human was the source of creativity. All the Algorithmic Imitation did was repackage your content into other styles created by other humans. It's not as important for these systems to actually be intelligent as it is for people to accept what these systems do as the new definition of "intelligence". Industry leaders helped develop an education system built on memorization and obedience. We recognized THAT as the definition of "intelligence" for decades.

It’s like trying to stop the internet-AI is already a part of our lives, with different types being developed worldwide by countless people and organizations. Halting AI entirely would rob us of all the benefits it could bring, like advancements in medicine, transportation, or the environment. Sure, there are risks that AI could be misused, and those concerns are valid. But AI also has the potential to change our world for the better.
