Iron and Calcium tablet should be taken in Second and third trimester. You should monthly check your heamoglobin. Multivitamin tablet may be taken if your doctor prescribe.

How about folic acid tablet during second and trimester? My RBC folate levels are very high in 700s so I have stopped taking folic acid tablet but try to get enough folate in my diet. That’s why I was asking if folic acid tablets are needed in second or third trimester.

Folic acid is generally used for child to prevent Neural tune defect in child. and it is generally used in first trimester only. in secod and third trimester doctors can prescribe folic acid with iron tablet like IFA or iron folic acid tablet.
