With Duke. WHen you are holding the baby...Don't try to keep him away...Let him lay at your feet, or beside you on the couch, while you are holding baby...LEt him be a part of the baby too. He may surprise you abd be very protective of the baby. He may always want to be near it.

My advice to you is don’t wake the baby up to feed bc they’ll let you know when they’re ready to eat. If you start, they’ll never sleep over night bc they’ll be up on schedule and that will go on until toddler age. I tried with my 1st and OMG it was horrible. My grandmother told me never wake a sleeping baby and with my other 2 they let me know. My boys listen to me and their wives were listening to everyone and they convinced them not to wake them up and they all thanked me for pushing it bc it’s already hard having to wake up all threw the night and breastfeeding. Congratulations and I’m so happy for y’all.

Biggest piece of advice: tell yourself your due date is 2 weeks later. Most states allow you to go up to 42 weeks pregnant but then you have to get induced then. If you tell yourself your due date is at 42 weeks, any time the baby comes before then is a nice surprise! I had convinced myself that i was going to give birth around 38 weeks with my first. I was the first mama in my blood line on both sides of my family in 4 generations to go past 39 weeks, much less make it to my due date, much less go past my due date. I cried. A lot 😂 so with my second, i told myself my due date was my 42 week date and she came at 41wk + 6 days but i didn’t cry over going that late because i had already told myself that, that was “early”

I was given one piece of advice when i had my first, and it was: listen to everyone's advice, then do what you feel in your heart is the right thing. I had 3 in less than 3 years, no twins, and i followed that advice with all of them. They are now 30,30&32, and they are so close and i am extremely close to each of them

My husband was born on the side of the road in Spartanburg SC on a snowy Christmas morning. My husband was my mother-in-law's 6th child. They loaded the kids (4 children, the child before my husband was still born) in the car and got stuck in the snow a few yards down from their house. His father walked back to the house with the kids to call an ambulance and when he got back my husband had been born. - Tiff, you just do what you want/need. ❤ Sometimes there’s a lot of pressure put on you by family, friends or doctors. - I have 4 kids and I was induced with all 4. Some by choice, some for health reasons. I breastfed 2 kids, but not the other 2. I just had to do what worked for me & my family at the time.. and everyone’s healthy! I never let anyone pressure me into something I didn’t feel comfortable with. Ps- pregnancy insomnia was a killer for me every time 😭🥱

I am 31 weeks now and my biggest struggle was Hyperemisis Gravidarum in 1 at tri & beginning of 2nd. I had it with my 3rd & lost 20 lbs, but with this one, it was a whole other level. It got down right scary cause we don’t have insurance and couldn’t afford to go get IV (not able to drink water for 4 months), but Jesus. He met me in the biggest most profound way in securing my hope in Him like I have never before. The most beautiful sunsets come after the rain, or most beautiful rainbows come after the storms.❤

Love you guys so much!! Tiffany is so beautiful and glowing. My mom was pregnant with one of my brothers. She kept going to her doctor saying she thought it was time and he kept saying not yet. By the time she was ready, she didn't make it to the birthing center she had planned to go to. Her mom and grandmother were with her and helped deliver my brother on the side of the highway.

You will be wonderfully loving, engaging parents. Tiffany you do have the baby glow. Keep trusting the Lord as you have been doing.

To prep for the possibility of having two genders in one nursery, you can use neutral colours for the base (furniture, walls, etc.) but decorate with your colour of choice with things that can be easily changed out later (blankets, wall hangings, and such).

I have been married for 35 years to my wonderful husband. We had a camper for weekend and vacation trips. We had a playpen in the camper. Whatever you enjoy you make it work. It was some of the best memories!

Bringing baby home to a dog, boundaries are so important. Don't be surprised if you hate the dog suddenly, it's very commom post partum. Setting spacial boundaries before baby comes home helps the adjustment. Dog can smell baby across the room. There is no rush to introduce them/let them touch. And only if dog is very calm. Dog needs to know you are boss, baby is an extention of you. So baby is boss, not an equal, or inferior. Seems extra, but is such an important foundation. I love my dog so much, I never want to have to make a difficult decision if something went very wrong. Things can go so wrong so fast with jealous dogs and little kids

A girl!! 😍 she will be beautiful! You do not understand love until you have a baby that you've wanted! It's unreal. Cliché comment, but true. I had a C-section that I did not want, but my little girl was perfect. Afterwards, I needed my husband for everything (bathroom help and walking). It was such a wonderful time.

The best advice I ever got was from my mother, she said everyone is going to give you all kinds of advice, and the best thing you can do with that is take it in one ear mule it around and decide if it is something you want to consider, if not let it go out the other, try what you want and go from there.

Tiffany! Your bump is so precious! I also dealt with insomnia in pregnancy, mine was more so in the mornings - I would wake up at 3-5am and not be able to fall back to sleep. I remember hearing that you can still “rest” even if you’re not asleep so I would just lay in bed and pray, put in an earbud and listen to the Bible, just allow my body to rest even if my mind was awake.

Time is the best thing you can ever give your little ones.

Tif is pretty big for 20 weeks ! I had twins my 3rd pregnancy and got big right away ! I think she may have twins ! Lawson also said “when they get here” ! Could be twins ! That would be a reason for them to already know the gender ! Having a baby is always exciting ! ❤

On the pregnancy insomnia you may need to eat a high protein snack right before bed to help you sleep better. Im pregnant with my fifth baby and it is the only thing that has truly helped getting that extra nourishment in. Also advice on anything extra to make labor easier and faster is getting regular chiropractic work done to help keep things aligned is always helpful. Praying that all goes well with the rest of your pregnancy and labor. ❤

Tips for animals: we did the blanket thing but another piece of advice if the both of you can greet your pet first, without the baby. For instance, when we got home, my husband went in the house first to love up on our dog. (Baby was asleep in the car seat so I just sat with her). Then my husband and I swapped places. It got our dog’s energy and excitement for seeing us out first. Then we brought the baby in and our dog was calm and sweet and just sniffed our little one.
