I was born at Evergreen Maternity in 1999. Trippy 😂😂 im a single mom so I’m a one and done but I LOVE THIS FOR YOU GUYS!!! Ill just live through you 😂

I SWEAR by midwives but I know they work a little different in the States than in Canada. I had a home birth this time around and highly recommend that too. It was just really great to be able to have who I want there, have access to my fridge and freezer and anything that I could want, don't have to deal with hospital policies and registration, etc. My husband was weary if a home birth at first but our midwives are quick to take you to the hospital if anything seems like it would go wrong but they're able to deal with A LOT with the equipment that they have. Also, my labours are QUICK so it's just less stressful to already be at home

We had a hospital birth with a midwife with my little guy! I honestly loved it! I felt the personalized care of a midwife in a setting that made my husband and I feel the most comfortable :) I live in Canada so I’m not sure what the options are in the US but it may be something worth looking into :) Can’t wait for the gender reveal! 🤍🤍🤍

That’s so nice you were able to have a ultra sound at 8 weeks, I went last week for my first Pregnancy appointment ( I am 9 weeks and 4 days) and she only made me a small one with a machine (the size of a phone) , I couldn’t see anything that much because of the machine. I was so disappointed, I wanted to see baby and see the heartbeat so bad :( my US appointment isn’t before the 30 December I’m so impatient ☹️ I don’t understand why they didn’t planned me a US at 8-9 weeks :( Anyway, I m so glad for you guys ! I wish your pregnancy symptoms will be better soon ❤️✨

I had a homebirth. To be honest it is SO MUCH MORE intimate and relaxing than at hospital

So happy for you guys!! Is there anyway you could have a midwife come to the hospital and assist with your delivery? I'm in nursing school and attended some hospital births last semester and that's how most of the deliveries were. Best of both worlds, in my opinion :)

Honestly, all of our opinions matter for not, but as a peds nurse who works locally to you guys, I would go the route of midwifery in a hospital setting. Best of both worlds in terms of safety especially with having providers trained in NRP. But! You have to do what you think is best for you guys! Respect either way. I think I remember you want to film the birth. Maybe try a checking with a different hospital ahead of time? I know there are other vloggers who do film hospital births. Maybe UW Northwest? Awesome birth center, brand new rooms too. And their midwives group are fantastic. Can’t wait for the big reveal! And super props to Matt for waiting on Halo Infinite, we couldn’t! it’s so good so far! 🤣

I had my birth attended by midwives but I delivered in a hospital. I was seen at their clinic for all prenatal apts but they do deliveries at a nearby hospital. It was perfect because baby ended up having some complications during labor and I was very thankful that they could call the OB to consult and I didn't have to relocate, which I would have had to if we were elsewhere. I was able to delivery vaginally as planned with my midwife delivering but the scare with baby was enough to make me want all future births in hospital as well!

Reading the comments I have to post an unpopular opinion - midwifery care can be great or it can be a disaster. In my case I'm glad I went with a midwife delivery in a hospital because after 40 hours of labor it turned out that my midwifery team did not properly identify a condition that should have been known in the first trimester. I ended up with an emergency c section and was so glad I was in a hospital where an OB stepped in. The midwife team I worked with is top rated and came recommended to me by literally 30+ people. The care I received throughout my pregnancy I thought was great but in the end I am so so so glad I was in a hospital and not a midwife center because an OB could quickly help me and my baby. Each pregnancy and delivery is different and unpredictable - if one goes smoothly it means very little for the next one. I wish you luck in making this decision! I know it's one my partner and I talked a lot about.

My 13 month old mountain climber got a bruise on her forehead last night. I cried worst than she did. But I heard from a lot of moms that kids will stumble and no need to overwhelmed by guilty. 😌

I feel like it’s a girl!

I feel like girls can wear absolutely anything and I definitely will put my next one in a lot of green and blue and brown because I already have that regardless of gender, but I wouldn't put a boy in a dress or frilly pink stuff. Don't get me wrong, if he's old enough and he's like wanting to wear that, I think I would let him, but a baby is perceived as the gender you dress it at, so, I wouldn't want to do that. Is that weird? But yea, I wouldn't think twice about putting a green or blue hat or romper on a baby girl. They grow so fast that it's only practical to put them in hand me downs, but lets be honest, baby clothes are so tiny and cute and I'll probably buy way too many again. My mum had a hospital birth and a home birth and she said the home birth was a lot better, she felt more secure and comfortable and safe. She actually left the hospital with me an hour after they stitched her up because she didn't want to be at the hospital. All my aunt's also had home births, it was really popular for a time but getting a good midwife isn't always easy.
