Leo was born September 9th of last year that puts him at 9 months on June 9th. He still has the right to nurse just not like a newborn. Libby is actually doing an ok job at weaning him. Don't get me wrong I am no fan of Leo as a matter of fact I think he is a spastic nasty cling on is too lazy and only wants to cling and nurse, but that is the same with alot of monkeys his age. I am a fan of Libby though. I think she is doing a great job despite the horrendous interference from the vultures constantly putting a camera in her face.

When they do they go up in the trees to rest, but by that time they're both dealing with screaming crying "seizure" tired babies that wanna pull, tug and suck the fluid out of them. Well Libby would still nurse Leo if she had milk to nurse him with! She has little to NO flow because she was separated from him when they burned his eyes! She still lets him suckle for comfort and he may be still getting a little flow if she has any!! We don’t know! Her being pregnant has nothing to do with the weaning process except that it’s being done way sooner than it should because she got pregnant sooner!
