Footage from Star Trek Klingon Academy PC Game. This is a test clip only not my final project.
Chang and Gorkon argue about a peace treaty with the Federation several months before the events of Star Trek VI.

It really adds gravitas to the scene. I wish more of this had stuck with the more modern portrayals.

RIP Chancellor Gorkin aka David Warner. He and Plummer were 2 fantastic theatre actors who brought a certain elegance to the roles 😊

Gorkon was instrumental of bringing peace and survival , not just for the Klingon Empire, but for the Federation as well. No wonder a Federation ship was named in honor of Chancellor Gorkon

The real gift of Klingon Academy is that it elevates Chang from the mere moustache-twirling, Hamlet-quoting "bad guy" that we see in STVI, into a multi-layered, misguided, and tragic figure, truly Shakespearean, who only wanted the best for his people and glory for the empire that he fought and bled for. No true villain is evil just for the sake of being "evil"; they may do evil things but always with the best of intentions, which as they say, pave the way to Hell.

Klingon Academy could be viewed as Star Trek 5.5 with events leading up to The Undiscovered Country. While playing as Torlek the player meets a Young Kem'pec...yes, the Same Kem'pec who becomes the Supreme Commander for the Klingon Empire!

Madred(shaking his head): no, no, Picard, THE OTHER WAY! Picard: why don't you do it yourself, you bloody wanker? Madred(face palming): oh, for Christ's sake... (Three weeks earlier) Madred: how many lights do you see? Picard: four. Madred: no, there are five. Picard: no, there are four. The fifth one burned out. Madred: what?!?(turns to look) oh, bloody hell, I could have sworn it was working yesterday. Oh, bugger.

As a fan of both Star Trek and the Lord of the Rings, it's wild to see a clip of Gorkon and Chang debating the threat of Melkor as he divides the Klingon Empire in a bid for supremacy over them.

Klingon political intrigue never seems to amaze me. Both brutal yet calculating. Alliances shift like the wind....even into Worfs era. The Duras/Gowron dispute went to civil war. Nothing seemed to change with the Klingons in all that time.

Could you imagine if we had had the Klingon cast of Star Trek 6 be in movies 2-6. We could have seen parallels and changes in power, little snippits of stuff like this which would have eventually lead to Praxis and Star Trek 6.

Looks more like cut scenes from a Star Trek video game thst tied into the movie…the close ups and the over shoulder angles are indicative of video capture cut scenes from the late 90’s video games 😂😂🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ The acting is great though 👍

After Morgoth got kicked out the Door of Night into space, he happened upon the Klingon Empire and integrated himself into it, resuming the use of his old name of Melkor and seeing opportunity in becoming the new emperor of the Klingons. They knew not the devil in their own midst lol.
