let a be blue area, b be yellow area, (a+65)/(b+124)=3/4 -(1) and (a+35)/84 = 70/b - (2). Two equations one linear and one non-linear. 4a + 260 = 3b + 372 -> b = 4(a - 28)/3 - (3), (a+35)b = 5880 - (4). Put (3) into (4), (a+35)(a-28)*4/3 = 5880 -> a^2 + 7a - 5390 = 0, (a+77)(a-70) = 0, a = 70 -(5) or -77 (rejected). Put (5) into (3), b = 56.

Is the solution unique? I set up another 2 linear equations (Blue is x, yellow is y) Eqn 1: (35+x)/30=(84+y)/40 Eqn 2: x/(84+y)=35/(30+40) On solving, I got x=70, y=56.

As usual, let b be blue area, y be yellow area, so 4(b+65)=3(y+124) or 4b+260=3y+372, a bit cumbersome to set the second equation,....😅

Blue area be designated by B Yellow area be designated by Y Y/84 = 70 /(35 + B) . E_1 30/40 =( B+35)/ (Y + 84) . E_2 Multiplying E_1 and E_2 one gets Y/112 = 70/(Y +84) Y^2 + 84 Y = 70 *112 Y^2 + 140 Y - 56 Y - 70*112 = 0 (Y + 140)( Y -56 ) = 0 Hereby Y = 56 sar unit B + 35 = (3/4) * (56 +84) B = 70 sqr unit
