I actually know the person that owned that thing. Not the best person you’d come across, thus why this was the last XR8 Sprint sold. He originally wanted over 100k for this thing and I think I remember at one point that he said it was not for sale at all! and i saw this car a year or two ago and it didn’t look that good when I saw it on the showroom floor. It had a scratch somewhere one it, swirl marks and was very dusty. He apparently saw “value” in it. His that type of Ford dealer were he liked to price his cars high over the normal price. Good on the new person for getting rid of it after siting for ages. Besides that good job Premcar SVT, great way to show the capability of the FG X.

The lack of external badges annoys me. For $45,000 I'd want HO or HG or holy grail badged somewhere on the boot/grille

I feel the same. I get that there's a place for understated, and it works for the XR models, but when you think about a car like this, which is built as a special flagship performance car, it should have a little more visual cues that it is something special, like Ford did with the GT-P and Holden with the GTS-R. Whether or not all that is too much, I agree that at least a custom badge should be there.

I have a 2013 fusion (2.5ltr) the first time i got u der to do an oil change, all i saw was plenty of space for an 8. Id like to get an AWD fusion with a blown engine and a wrecked mustang. I just wish they made them in a 2 door version.

Ford never made it, so in fact its just a hotted up Sprint, done by an after market tuning shop. Yeah Premcar built it, but it is modified, end of story. Not saying it isnt cool, but to say it could have been a GTHO is really stretching it guys.

I don't get these "upgrades' The price you're paying for is in the name as you can go to KPM or Herrop and do the same thing for a whole lot cheaper and will be just as "safe" as the premcar upgrades. $45k for all this is a damn joke, and one premcar is trying to suck in people with more money than brains.

"It's kind of in the grey area" says it all - this is just a heavily modified car no matter who's behind it. Never an OEM legend and almost an insult to the original.

Didnt they want a stupid amount of money for this thing? I remember reading it going they're dreaming. Doesnt cost much to make your blown fgx xr8 this sort of power anyway...

You realize it's not just power. It handling too and OEM reliability. Just wished they did brakes too, and wider tyres than 255 and 295. The stock brakes are crap!! Should have fitted the Harrop Ultimate monsters. I have the 380mm 8 piston XYZ fronts and 4 Piston 355mm XYZ rears and they are so much better!! With the tyres they could have easily gone 305 or 315

I know but they're still asking WAYYYY too much, you could get yours built with the same things for at least half whatever they were charging. I read the price and laughed, insulting. I have an fg turbo myself, and if think your car stopped bad standard...How much did that harrop upgrade cost you?

@@chris-xu7fd The Harrop Ultimates are about $7k for parts alone bro. That's why I went with the XYZ ones for $5k ... The Harrops are still 6/4 set up, mines 8/4

Notbad! Comes down to the way you drive as well, if you drive everywhere like its a gumball rally... Well you''re going to need the brakes you bought lol. Wouldnt mind grabbing a set down the line.. Unfortunately got other toys that need $$$

@@chris-xu7fd yeah thats always case unfortunately, otherwise we'd all drive around in fully kitted out cars. I had a FG MK1 G6ET, even the XYZ 6 Piston and PBR rears on that were very good. I think total all up was $3k. (Dont quote me) Guess the XR8 is alot heavier. The stock Brembo 4 Piston are crap, alot of poo came out during first hill run lol What I like about the Holy Grail is it's been done properly unless they have been cheeky??? If that dyno graph is correct and at the rear wheels, it's got 40kW more than mine at 3,000 RPM and about 100Nm more 😱😱😱

Still a one trick pony, better off buying a nice low km VF HSV, will cream this thing in every single aspect and actually has an interior.

LSA711 I don’t like the dinner plate under the screen in the vf..yes fgx is outdated but fuck it looks great..and seats are spot on..you sit way to low in the vf’s and seats look great but bloody uncomfortable as..the gtsr would be a great one to own

Typical comment from someone who'll probably never get to drive one ..The one's that have had the experience of driving a Grail say it's really exceptional thing ...By the way they are different approaches between this and the HSV and a fair comparison is not likely ..First up you have to already have the supercharged Falcon and you're paying for the rebuild of the whole car in almost every one of the 100 examples from engine , exhaust , chassis and suspension...but you end up with what reviewers are saying is an AMG C63 type of total quality bit of kit .. HSV is great but so quite obviously is this way of having something very special ...
