[Prepar3D / PMDG 777-200ER] Takeoff Spool-up Engine Sound Comparison between PW, RR and GE

This is Flight SIMULATOR. I wrote ‘Prepar3D’ in the title. No need to post comments like “This is fake, not real.” This video aims to compare the sound of PMDG add-on software product.
Takeoff Spool-up Engine Sound (Take-Off thrust with no deration) Comparison between Pratt & Whitney PW4090-3, Rolls Royce Trent 892 and General Electric GE90-94B. These are newly released Boeing777-200ER aircraft add-on from PMDG in February 2021.
World airlines ordered Boeing777 can choose engine from these 3 manufacturers except for 777-200LR and 300ER derived types.
200LRs and 300ERs need more powerful thrust, due to the heavy fuselage. However, there are no engines satisfy the enough thrust except for General Electric GE90 series, so that airlines, orderd these derived type of aircraft cannot choose engine manufacturer.

Same here. But the RR's sound looks similar to C-5 Galaxy's TF39 (by GE)

In my opinion, the Pratt and Whitney PW4000’s the best on Boeing 777 but it sounds similar to the General Electric Gen90

The PW4000 have this unique pitching down sounds as the engine spools up I like all three. They have their own sound characteristics that made them unique

I actually think it’s the worst-sounding lol: the PnW one has a better rumbling buzz to it that makes it sound meaner, and the RR sounds beefier

That was fixed by updating to ver. 1.11.1143 on my environment.

Nice comparison and for the spinner its RR going the otherway unlike the GE90-94B and PW4090. If you're from MNL you need to fly to ICN🇰🇷 for PW4090 while GE90-115B is PR BR EK QR EY and UAthe latter is an MNL to EWR via SFO flight. Trent 892 check for BKK/HKG schedules

Probably depends on what airline you fly - typically each airline will select one engine for their entire fleet of a given model, so if you usually fly the same airline all their 777s would have the same engine.

It’s the Trent 895, not the 892.

"TRENT 892" is written on CDU IDENT page. There are 777s with various derived types of Trent 800 series engine in reality. PMDG may simulate 777 with Trent “892”, not “895”.
