A totally different process than usual, we finally went to the hills!
In the video we are in Romagna, at Tenuta del Gelso, where this CAT D6R XL is waiting for us, ready to excavate and level the hilly terrain! (ps: we have already filmed this car, if anyone remembers which video write it in the comments 😉)
In this video we wanted to show all the steps that were needed for the realization of this intervention, all starting from the mapping of the terrain in the initial conditions, to then be able to process all the data through the AgForm 3D software of the Topcon FC-5000, where in the first clips you can see precisely the state of the field before the work, and then the project of how the land will be arranged. This information is then transmitted to the Topcon unit in the D6 cab and thanks to the hydraulic systems and controls mounted on the blade, you will be able to obtain the final result as designed!
Before carrying out the various leveling / excavating, it was decided to make a pass with the 3 points of the D6 (at about 60-70cm) to move the earth a little. Subsequently, the work of the level is carried out, controlled by the Topcon system, and finally the points are passed again (this time at about 90cm) to further finish the ground and leave it already moved.
In the final part of the video, in addition to seeing the final result, we see the D6 move to another plot! (ps: in the final shots you can see the D6 with only 2 points, the third was removed because the ground was really tough)
In addition, at 08:34 you can see the limestone stains of the ground before being worked, which then disappeared in the last clips thanks to the careful excavation work to ensure homogeneous uniformity.
