I'm a pretty abysmal falconetti player but still find them a pretty fun unit to use at times, although super frustrating when you get hunted down by enemy heroes XD

I can only wish I had teammates who understood how to use their units correctly like in this video. Those players are the real MVP's.

One thing with falcons I've found (I have nearly 400 hours with them) is that it's really beneficial to micro them if you use setup time doctrines. Because of their abysmal fire rate you can set up, target fire at a specific spot, and then leave before the enemy pins you down. Both target fire and set up have a 5 second cool down, so whenever you set up, you'll always have target fire. It solves the problem of enemies targeting you because they can't find you easily. Additionally, almost every map has your home supply point in range to target the final capture point over buildings, making it a real headache for enemies as they physically can't get rid of the infinite bombardment due to the whole "immune on your spawn point" anti camp mechanic and constant reloads of the supply point. Bonus if you have a bagpipe friend making them two tap heavy armor heroes.

falcos can easily bring you a win in nearly any match, but in normal sieges most team mates are too dumb to help covering them with shields. You can't set them up where its useful and have to stick with your team and thats why they are so frustating. I've had a lot of attacking rounds on Kurak castle. If you can set up your falcos on the wall, you can clear a lot of that corner and you've practicly won, but most of the time no ones there to follow and protect my falcos on these walls. And yeah these guys are like black holes for heroes^^

I was thinking about that riverland castle attack, you could probably set up outside the walls at B and still hit the inside of gatehouse, but that was some impressive teamwork nevertheless!

I would rather die twice or 3 times rather then having them live a second more to destroy my team. And a bit tip always use their 1 never tell them to V since their attack even at close range using V is crap

4:50- if you move to the wood obstacle right before you, you can get a good andle, you will be able to shoot in. But the risk is that someone will jump fromm the walls

I use bottom line falcos because it really gives you the flexibility with that +30% movement speed, while being extra effective in big cluster areas in mid to close range

Best way I found to play them universally is to go bottom line for the tankyness and the extra 2 guys. I had heroes dive them plenty but with that extra defense they live longer

I recently unlocked these guys and dont have a lot of experience with them so this vid suits me perfectly xD. One thing i disagree with you tho is the veterancy line. I just like the fact that they have much higher surviveability even tho you lose some accuracy and dmg. But the accuracy can be buffed with their purple doctrine and their dmg in general is high and enough in my oppinion. Thx for the vid.

On riverlands attack you can put falcos on the left corner of the map, from there you can shoot directly into the tunnel and help the team to get the push going.

I agree about everything you've said about falconettis! but I think bottom line is abit more versatile as they move faster to potition behind shields to really push forward, they are slightly tankier aswell but as you say heroes are the main issue and the same for bottom line even with a little bit more tankiness and 2 extra models. but for potitioning they are alot better and the acuracy and range dont matter if you want to push a blob. They are the biggest make or break unit in the game if played well. The amount of games I've turned on the last point from losing to a win is crazy with them. I switched to bottem line to make them more tanky and move quicker to get them into position quicker. I've done games with house mates when 3 of us take them and depending on the map is usually a win. But you always need 2 heroes to watch them.

2 Things that really make this unit the most OP unit in the game (and if i had the power to remove 1 unit from the game Falcos would be gone immediately). -Psychological warfare; nobody wants to push when it means you guarantee losses without counterplay, half the time you can't support your unit because you're on the ground too (they say low accuracy but i've been hit by 5 in a row at max range), they are tinnitus machines like normal arty, and i believe a single falconetti cannon can hit more units than a culverin. -Map knowledge; i mean advanced knowledge where as a defender or attacker you can hit key positions without counterplay, i've seen countless matches where people would try out locations where bow heroes couldn't hit them or where normal heroes would have to go over half the enemy side of the map to get near them. I've said this when they came out too, i don't think the map designer has any idea units like Falconetti's are in the game.

I did something different and put 8 point in bottom line and the rest top. I lose the 10% reload and 12% extra precision but you get extra movement speed which means that they stop being the slowest unit in the game (they get a speed of 4,7, imperial spears are 4,5).

Falconettis are in my opinion a relativ situational unit, u can´t just use them anywhere on any map. This is the big drawback of them. But when u got a team that defend u completly destroy nearly anything in the way But a really helpful video Keep it up :)

Falconetti and namkhan archers were the two reasons ive maxed up the longbowmen :)

Its accualy pretty easy to kill a falco unit, for ex. with maul,u forst gotta identify theyre position,wat till the player playing them moves them and then its time to strike, use jump of horse, up from hell or mjolnir+bonebreaker.But the main thing is to identify theyre position,that u just dont run around searching them.You can use spear to kill them easily too.

These are my favorite unit

two things. First why do you play them on the top veterancy line if you find them too slow and you play them at close range. Bottem line would give you speed. Of course it lacks of accuracy but you can rotate them as you like and they arent one shots to longbows and that stuff. The top line is basically for the people who want to shoot from a secure distance. The second thing is you aim with the falcos the wrong way. You aim directly on the target, ut you have to preaim a little so they really hit their targets. Because the main cannons hit behind the aim circle you put down with the "1" key.

Instead of Piercing armour penetration doctrine (which is very have for them already) put Epic Mobility Doctrine on them if you have it. Certainly helpful during sieges.

Pro: really good Cons: every enemy hate them and will throw their life away to kill them

Very situational unit. I'd imagine that the parable with the spear unit that can stun

For anyone still playing these guys like me. Yes, heroes will hunt you down and try to kill your units and yes, some players recognize how much potential these units have and try to help defend them. But like always. They are extremely risky. You have to be very careful at all times i've found out that really.You can't even play as a hero if you have these units out.Because you cannot leave them alone

They really a pure TW unit, maybe in party battles. They demand co-ord with the team

Bottom line is way to go, much more mobile and higher mid range to close range damage

Falcos are to units what noobgrab is to hero skills.

If you think of the 2 extra models on bottom line as +20% dmg and fire rate (and sort of accuracy, cause you get 2 more shots to hit, right?) then put this on top of the 4.5 move speed instead of 3.5 and its an easy pick for me. The movement speed is honestly a must. Give them enough to outrun most units, which leaves me to slow down the hero....because the heros will come.

Bot line, arguably my fave unit in the game.

When I try to change my weapon type it says this weapon class does not match you armors weight class what do I do to equip the weapon

They need a nerf, not damage wise...im thinking to the point where they or ranged units can't stand on a supply point and have unlimited ammo. That's a perfect nerf to ranged units

They move faster if you toggle the 2 ability

I think the concept is interesting but my biggest problem with falcos is two things actually. The knock down on heroes from their attacks is absolutely ridiculous. Secondly and this is important; being damaged and CCed by a source that you cannot interact with is extremely frustrating and is a bad gameplay choice by the devs. Of course it's a trade off to bring them instead of a better combat unit but the experience on the receiving end of them is just terrible. They're cool when used how you used them the first clip supporting a push. But everyone just uses them on defend literally sitting in spawn shooting the last obj. its toxic and annoying.

curious question, how many games did you play to get good clip form those units ? :P

i remember wanting to use them as they look kinda fun to use if you dont camp with them. i unlocked the 3day trail for them and boy i was not prepared for the amount of people that throw themselves at you. it is nice to see all those numbers show up and the kills racking up in the 100 by shooting 4 volleys but i only had 1 of those games on the "new" viking map. other than that it was more me playing tower defense against a neverending horde. they are a fun unit but not worth the trouble imo xD if i was a range user it might have been different but as a melee player i dont like babysitting my units

Universally hated, yeap had one match a guy rushed after mine probably 6 or so times, before he gave up

In my opinion the game is more like focusing on unit challenges instead of the unit tech tree is feels like the game is becoming more grindy

flacos..... aaaahh... .goood times.... just imagine a bottleneck gate.. where 8 units of low lvl units try to push through a stalwart unit ...and my falcos behind em.... in 20 sec... 138kills + 5 heros the unit bodies burried that day.. laid the foundation of what i am now....
