Is a UGMA the same as a UTMA? My child has a UTMA but doesn't have access to it till she turns 18. Wondering how to answer the question "Assets they own but are held in the names of children"...

A UGMA is the same as a UTMA. These are assessed as a student's asset, not a parent asset
