Give Chelsie three months at a South Africa school and she will be the one talking all the time. She will soon have many stories to tell in 11 SA languages soo

Chase can take extramural activities or sport from 13h30 to 14h30 so Mrs P does 1 trip😊. At least that is what I do with my babies

I'll be doing the same once we figure out the activities schedule.

seeing your kids wearing school shoes, makes me want to go back to school...

Hi family, I always prefer Walkmates from Woolworths for school shoes, genuine leather and made in SA, my baby is using the same pair for the second year, well it will get smaller but never worn out.

I was looking for this comment, literally the best for me. All my kids wear them, the other brands feel hard for me, I've never even liked them for myself when I was still in school.

You could look for two choices on Chase after school. It could be you enrol Chase for "Aftercare" (teachers that look after kids for a set time each day and can help with homework as well) or just enrol Chase on an "Extra Mural Activity" (could be sports or hobbies available at school pending on seasons)

Did they start today? All the best, kids! Enjoy school in SA, we cant wait to hear how you've settled in! Chase is hilarious, he should become a comedian!

For the big sister, you can try the Boomerang bag ( not sure about the black colour though). Take a Lot has them, you might find other brands too on there🙏🏽. Blessings to you and family Mommy🫶🏽.

when is term 1 over? because they start three weeks before my older one is done with term 1 but still good to get used to it and make friends before term 1 ends… and I got my older one (she’s in grade r which is kindergarten)‘s stuff at the school’s uniform shop on the school property and the rest from gem schoolwear (the location but you can through the site too) and for the pe shoes got them on takealot, and there’s cheap brand name white takkies/running shoes/sneakers there (: and they have a pickup place too (which might be faster) since y’all are in the joburg area (: (I’d stay away from leather ones if you can though) but good luck! and looking forward to seeing more about it!(: love following y’all’s new life in this beautiful country hey 😊 have a great weekend guys!

Also try Froggies brand extremely comfortable and a little pricey but kids dont like them much because of their funny shape😊 it would be interesting to see them in their uniforms all the best
@nokwazimoloi52305 ай бұрын
Expensive but worth every rand, comfortable, my Grade R baby uses them, as they wear sandals in the foundation phase.
@cboh95305 ай бұрын
@@nokwazimoloi5230 I bought Froggies for my nephew not even a month he said the kids are laughing at him😊😊, when my son started grade 1, I bought them again second week he said he's shoes are different from the rest of the kids and they are looking at him funny 😅. I now buy Woolworths brand walkmates which looks good quality too.

I have the same issue with my 4 year old, I just told her, to tell those kids that she is the ONLY one who has them and they don't come cheap..😂😂😂, never had any complaints since then.

Awesome video. Did they wear uniforms in the States or just normal clothes? If normal clothes, how did your kids feel about wearing uniforms?
@OurJourney2SouthAfrica5 ай бұрын
Chelci wore uniforms, but it was definitely NOT nice like the uniforms here. They were very casual. Chase wore civies. He quickly adjusted to the uniforms. He's just happy he doesn't have to wear 'tap-tap shoes and a 3 piece suit', as he calls it. 😅
