Happy 2023 everyone! :)
This week, I am sharing the second part of the series on how I prepare my tank for a 30-day vacation. It is so stressful knowing that I will need to leave the tank on auto-pilot for 30 days, so I am trying my best to automate everything. Here, I am making my own DIY auto feeder to automate the feeding of liquid food to my fish - this is inspired by a video that ReefDudes did on this topic.
I really hope that the tank can sustain itself while I am away - Stay tuned on the next video to see how the tank turns out!

The people who offered this service live very far away from me and they charge an arm and a leg for it. Hence why I am going with this fully automated option :D But if you have the option to get someone to check the tank, I would definitely go with that

Excellent idea, and job well done 👍 I would just put the feeding tube away from the overflow to better feed the tank and not spike your nutrients. Take care!

seems like the Versa dosing pump have the option to go reverse direction, maybe you can leave the pump outside the chiller , it can pump the remaining food (inside tubing) back to the container. then you can have bigger container inside the chiller :D

Why did you decide to put the dosing pump inside the fridge? Only the food needed to be inside the fridge unit? 🤔 You could've had more flexibility over the inlet pipe? A lot of the dosed food is going straight down the overflow, potentially causing a nutrient spike. You have a beautiful tank and KZfaq channel, hope it all goes well. hey there bro, im so inspired by you. so i have decided to get my first saltwater tank. i always wanted a pair of nice clowns and maybe some easy going corals. im also located in melbourne. just wanted to know why dont you run a skimmer in your nano tanks? and im thinking to get a waterbox cube or penisula. are they a good beginner salwater tank?

I can't imagine what the glass is going to look like after 30 days with no cleaning. That camera will probably only help you for a week or 2 Max because you won't be able to see thru the algae. Hope everything survives and you have a good vacation.

I'm not sure you want the pump in the fridge. At least my fridge is quite humid and builds condensation. The Versa is not cheap to risk it. Great idea though.

Hahaha I was terrified at first but I've got no choice :( I don't feed my fish flakes so no idea on that sorry! You can try liquid food? Most fish will take this eventually.

The dust raised by this small water pump may not be enough, which will cause some water at the bottom to be unable to be pumped up, and the fresh water supply is insufficient

That ATO looks bad. It would start a siphon from the trashcan to the sump without any way to stop the water. Unless you changed something and not shown in the video, it is a disaster waiting to happen.

Oh no, you followed the wrong video for your feeder.... Hope your only issue is some film on the glass 🤞🤞 If you are building a auto feeder for foods that need to stay chilled, you need 2 pumps with 6 roller heads and they both pumps should be outside the fridge so you can flush after feeding, don't follow the rubbish the influences put out......
