How many festivals do they have at that event? You could get a base of product for at the market that you can also bring those to the festival to make your booth look fuller then make festival theme items. If your booth looks to full keep the normal market items under the table, so when you run out of themed items you can pull out and refill your booth. That means that you are going to have more items that your bringing and may not have to bring them out. But if you are killing it you would have something to pull out even if it's not themed. (IF there are a lot of festivals there I would make enough totes for regular markets that would fill it out your racks in general fun designs so you have PLENTY of back ups for festivals so you don't run out.) If you are doing cash also have several places you have cash and a cash check marker. If you have a fanny pack try to get one with several pockets, so your not pulling out a wad of cash with big bills. Have a back pocket in the fanny where you can stuff all of the big bills. When we had a flea market it was cash only. We had the car out back where we could lock cash up and a cash box, but it was easier to have the money on your person, because cashboxes were easily swiped if someone could get in your booth. I kept envelopes where small bills 3-$10, 8-$5, and 30-$1 and 10-$5 and 50 $1 so it was $100 chunks (you would also need rolls of coins if you have items priced with change) and I could quickly toss big bills except a few $20s in a cash box/tote in the car and grab an envelope. That way my pockets were never to full so I didn't drop big bill and its super fast and you know how much change you had and used. You definitely want to swipe $50 and $100 to check them. If you have change regularly other sellers will realize it and if they get in a pickle they will ask you for change. Often this ends up with them pushing customers your way that are looking for different items they don't make ... or they will come buy from your shop as well. Its the benefit of having a regular booth with other regular sellers around you.

So glad to see you! Sounds like you’ve been very busy prepping for markets. There’s gotta be a lot of work when making what items you’re gonna sell. Don’t worry about this video being long, it was so nice to catch up with your world. Do you remember that you sent me scraps of material? Among the scraps there was about a yard of cotton fabric with frogs 🐸 🐸 on it. Well, I made a bowl cozy for my husband with it….it’s so cute 🐸🐸! Thanks for sending it my way! 🥰💖

Hi Neita, welcome back! Thank you for sharing your market events outcome, super helpful. I am gearing up for November (as well as all other crafters I am sure 🙂) and plan on selling the same style tote bags you sold at the festival. A few suggestions Always have prices posted, as a buyer I rarely will ask a price. I assume if it's not posted it's going to be more than I want to pay or I don't want to bother the merchant. You seem to have very reasonable pricing and you're missing the value buyer who bases purchasing decisions leaning toward price. For festivals bring some unprinted tote bags to sell to people who just want a tote bag and didn't bring one. If you've got $1.50 in cost then selling for let's say $5 is a quick flip with little investment in your time. If you think it will take away from sales of your printed ones then hold them back until the printed ones sell out or get low in inventory. You were concerned about phone battery life, spend $25 on Amazon and get a portable charger, you don't want to lost the ability to process payments.

Thank you! For my tote bags I sell them for $10 (I could charge more but I rather sell more at a faster rate) the bags costed me $1.50 and the ink from my DTG printer costs me less than $0.50 so about $2 total to make the bag. I'm still working on pricing my items but I do plan on sharing that once I get it dialed in. Thanks for watching ❤❤❤

I have a lot of anxiety so going out in a large market I’m already on edge. So if I go to a vendor booth I want prices on things that are easy to see. If I can’t see there marked from the entrance of the booth I’ll keep moving. I go to the market with what I want so if I see a possible impulse buy it has to be easy or I have to keep moving cause talking to people is hard.

This is my second time watching this video lol YT automatically played it for me but it reminded me to comment my hat display suggestion. So I know you have the hang tag gun thing (can't think of the name right now but the plastic gun zapper thing lol). Well they make some of those plastic hang tag things with a hook end specifically for hats, gloves, etc. That could be a cheap way to attach a hanging feature to your hats and you can purchase a metal rod to hang from your canopy or a display and hang the hats to where they are visible but obviously keeping in mind the wind/weather and also the safety of those walking in your booth. It could work at the very least to get people's attention and then as far as a permanent display I'm sure you'll find something to make it work. But with those hooks you may even be able to just hang them at the edge of your clothing racks or other displays.
@dressedbymia4785
@dressedbymia4785 Жыл бұрын
Oh, if you have a peg board those hooks are perfect to hang on the long storage hooks that are sold for the peg boards at IKEA. I think something like that would be perfect for in the booth and then just hang a few hats around at the edges of your canopy or display to get more visibility for the hats.

Can you share your pricing for the festival? What do you charge for t-shirts, scrunches, tote bags? Also, what methods of payment do you accept and which method seems most popular? Thanks!

For this event, it costed $150 for a 10×10 booth. Tshirts were $25, hats $20, scrunchies were $5 each. I accepted cash, venmo, paypal, or I had a square card reader for free from etsy.

Yes please! I'm still trying to figure out the best set up and how to display hats/tumblers.

@@NeitaFajita for tumblers, get a spotlight at like the dollar tree, put the tuumbler eye level or on multi levels in a box, and have the spotlight on it. for hats, always WEAR one, also Red wears one as well. Also, sell tumblers and hats as a set. Can't lose when ur hydrated and the sun is out of your eyes right?

How many people do you think walk away because of not knowing the price when you're trying to sell one person? That is nuts, and it goes against every common and business sense.
