Hey Ian, my name is Caden Beegan. I am a trainer in training at The Calm Companion in Athens, Ohio. I have been learning all of this information second-hand through Rosanne, who you worked with a few years ago. I just recently started watching some of your videos, and what I think is most unique about your style of training (which has been very well translated to The Calm Companion) is that you focus primarily on addressing the dog's state of mind. I think that is the key to building a healthy relationship, one that is not based on rewards or punishment, but rather on respect and understanding of boundaries. I am learning a lot over here with Kris and Rosanne, but am looking for opportunities to travel and learn while I am still in college (I am a sophomore). I'll likely be interning this summer with Debby Kay at Chilbrook Kennels in WV, but am always looking for veterans in the field to learn from. I do not know what your schedule or availability looks like for the next year or two, but if taking on an unpaid "intern" for a few weeks is something you would be interested in, just let me know and I will make time to drive out to Vermont.
