My mother made THE BEST homemade dinner rolls when I was growing up. When I got into my 30's & 40's when I wanted to learn how to make them, my mother had gotten much older and she forgot how to make them. She said it had been years since she made them. Now, I am in my 60's and my mother passed away a few months ago at the age of 94. I truly wanted her to live long enough so that I could show her, I finally mastered dinner rolls. Today, I am trying this recipe. If they don't come out right, I will keep trying. Thank You for sharing your recipe. I pray that I got it right.

O.k. so I made this recipe. I've made dinner rolls before but I wanted to make some with milk instead of water. I had to adjust of few things along the way. First I used 400 g of flour (instead of 390 g) while it was kneading in my Kitchenaid, toward the end (after 3 minutes), I added 4 tablespoons of four, one at a time, slowly. I used bread flour. The dough came out perfect! Also, I only used 1 tablespoon of sugar and I put it in the milk yeast mixture. I did not add more sugar to the recipe. Finally, I only made the recipe up to the second rise, after shaping the dough into rolls. Then, I froze them and took them out of the freezer the night before I needed them. I put them in the oven (no light on) for the night. They thawed and proofed. In the morning the were ready to bake, just had to baste them with melted butter. First video I watched of yours and I was so inspired to make these! They were such a hit and everybody loved them! I loved how easy they were to make and how delicious! I’d always wanted to make dinner rolls but was worried about how fussy they’d be, but not these. The only trouble I had was getting my dough to come into a ball but if you have that problem add a teaspoon of flour at a time while the mixer is running and it’ll come together! I’ll definitely be making again!

I followed directions exactly ,my dough was very wet , I had to do about 7 minutes of hand kneeing after removing from the mixing bowl and I added almost 1/2 cup of flour other than that it was a yummy recipe . Lucky I knew what to do with the sticky dough , you forgot to explain what the next step would be if it wasn't bouncing back and was sticky, just a heads up 👍 thanks for the video .
