20 minutes before I watched this I was thinking I need to make a floorplan of my MC's apartment so I am able to navigate the space well for readers. It made me happy to see you did the same! You and I seem to outline very similarly, although this is going to be my first NaNoWriMo/novel attempt in which I try more than a few sentences of planning. I wish I could commit to livestreams from you, but my work schedule is wild so I am usually unavailable when people go live. Just know I'm sending you good luck on those!

I always love seeing others outline, especially when they outline the way I do (which is basically writing down every little detail, like seeing how you wrote down every single student's name made me feel understood lol) Love to join a livestream, just have to check if the pesky timezones allow it 💞

Working on an epic for a couple decades IS a good thing! That is some serious dedication. I have been working on one novel for the last fifteen years, (amongst many other projects) and it is still far from complete. I have different methods for how I outline, depending on what it is I am working on--as so many of my writing projects are radically different. Even if it is fiction, it all depends on what I plan to focus on. And yes! I would join in for a live! 😎

I love how detailed that all is actually. Even if I was writing a dark academia, I don't think I'd be so detailed to have as much as you in the form of layouts and maps. I'd be making it up as I go and having people I made it confusing to follow. Oops? Love it!

My Outlining method is quite similar to yours, I've only done chapter outlines for one project and I barely stick to it haha.

LOL I usually get struck by a random idea after watching a movie or reading a book or TV show or manga and then I start seeing either of the characters or some events in my head and I kind of just start building off of that by jotting down kind of the main premise and then I move onto war of a story outline and then I usually look up like the story structure and kind of put scenes I think would work in there but my current story I actually got the idea from the new craft movie about how the main girls a witch and she has the stepbrothers but the one that stood out to me the most was her gay stepbrother who is in love with her love interest and I thought wouldn’t that be a great story if a boy who is the stepbrother of like the chosen one or the one who would normally be the main character falls in love with her main interest and then he ends up getting with him instead of her and it really is inspiring to me LOL and now it’s going to be like a four book series LOL
