very good thanks a lot! That's what I keep teaching to my (French) students, but believe me it's a struggle because in French you can use the present with progress/duration expression; as these guys translate the sentence in their head they constantly do the mistake. It's amazing how few of my students can manipulate the p perfect properly... 9 times out of 10 the first time we meet they throw me the usual "I work in my company for 5 years..." - so annoying! :)

The funny thing is that with present perfect continues you can explain the present simple too. I have been living in London since 2000 or for 24 years and you still live in London.
