Hello again, after over 10 months! I was able to pre-order the V2 a good long while back, and it finally shipped earlier this month. So just patiently playing the waiting game for it to arrive, and do some kit bashing with it and the HT one. As in put the default head on the Hot Toys one lol. I'm definitely going with your smiling head, jacket-less, movie poster look for the other one. I thought about selling off one like I've done with my previous Indy's, but no way this time. I'll just slap a tie on the jacketed version and it'll be my official Last Crusade one. Hands down this is the best review of this figure.

Finally someone who know how to use the light to show the figure in the best way. So far this is Best review in KZfaq... till I get my Indy figure. Awesome job. 👍👍👍👍

Lighting is usually taken for granted when it looks natural enough that the typical viewer wouldn't even realize the setup involved. But I'm glad someone noticed its importance. The Hot Toys Indy was my introduction into HT. I bought the Sideshow one, and there was nothing better about it to use for kid bashing. Then bought the Sideshow Temple of Doom one, still nothing about it that beat Hot Toys. Now this figure just sneaks along and actually does things better than Hot Toys.....that's just amazing. Great idea with them recasting these two infamous sculpts instead of trying to do their own, which certainly wouldn't have come out as nice. Not sure if the jacket is better than HT. Like if they went with a faux leather, we could've gotten one where the collar laid down naturally. It still looks miles better than the real leather Toys McCoy version. The only thing that'd really need replacing are the pants. These are just too short and tight. Regardless, this is genuinely a dream come true for 1/6 collectors...even if you have the HT one.

Totally agree! The pants could be more screen accurate. Leather jacket (real or otherwise) for this scale is always tricky. Perhaps we're born too early for the invention of a material that would imitate the weight and feel of real leather but would also look natural for 1/6 scale. Still though, even if it outshines the much later ToD version by Sideshow, I'd say the HT Indy has certainly shown its age. But that's only because HT's craftsmanship has improved so much since. If they're to make a new DX Indy today, I'm sure it will be substantially better. Lastly, I do believe Present Toys currently have this available for their 2nd batch pre-order. Definitely worth considering if you're at all interested. Happy collecting~

That MIDI(?) Indy theme is so cute. I don't know what is it about Ford's face that makes it hard to translate into figure form but this looks the closest to getting it even if I do feel it looks like Dennis Quaid and Chris Pratt had a middle aged child together.

It's always a delight to see your comments because you have such oddly specific ways to describe something 🤣🤣🤣 But yeah, glad you brought it up because when I was sifting through thumbnails for this video, I started seeing more of Chris Pratt in the smirking portrait. And oh man, MIDI is a word I haven't heard in a loooooong time 👴 But you're right, or rather it's whatever format the SNES generates because I ripped the music from that god awful game adaptation.

Wow, this is my first time finding out this figure exists. I've been a 1/6 collector fanatic since getting the Toys McCoy Indy in '99. Being an action figure collector, it just sucks that ppl are either 1/6 collectors or 6/7" collectors. I miss out on a lot of stuff because it's not talked about. I do remember a third party Indy that was made not that long ago, but this is definitely not it.

Hello! It's a true honor to have a veteran collector here! I started with some Medicom Ultraman back in 2007, so you're a good decade further along with your collection. It's also interesting if there are any other unlicensed Indy's between the HT version and this one. I remember seeing some unlicensed head sculpts but wasn't aware if anyone did a full figure release. But yeah, this one came out for the first time in 2022 and it sent everyone into a tizzy because it was unexpectedly awesome. I just happened to look up the Toys McCoy's Indy because I had no idea it even exists. And I gotta say it looks pretty good for its time. I don't think I've seen any 1/6 scale figures from that era. Certainly an eye opener!

Thank you so much for the kind feedback! I think you work is great too~ It's certainly got your signature style to it, which is the most important part. And to be honest, I see a lot of places in my videos that need work. So I guess we'll both have ourselves as benchmarks for tomorrow's improvements 😉

Great review. I will hopefully be getting this fig in the next couple of weeks. I agree the shirt collar looks too big. I know the sculpt is a recast but it looks very good imo.

So this was a recast after all...actually that would make a lot of sense. It's exceedingly rare that a third party brand can nonchalantly pull off such a phenomenal sculpt on such a high profile actor out of nowhere. This would also explain the surprisingly competitive MSRP too, considering it comes with 2 sculpts. Either ways, I hope you get yours soon too! And thank you for the kind comments~

The last CooModel release I bought was the Knights of the Realm dual figure set because I missed the Dragon Knight...It's too bad though. Those kind of figures are the only ones I'm following at the moment even if they are few and far between. And I dare not start on their samurai figures because there are waaaay to many and I'm a completionist with zero self-control 😅

Definitely an unfortunate result from the thick leather costume that doesn't scale down 6 times for this figure. It's really too bad because without the costume, the proportions looks pretty good. I'm rocking the Hot Toys DX05 jacket for this one and it looks significantly better. Thanks for watching~

Oh yes, highly recommend. The re-issue is just around the corner, so now is better than ever before to snag one. And if/when Hot Toys or Sideshow make another one in the future, so be it. But for the time being, the asking prices for these old releases are just not worth it 🤔

@@duncandukino4326 Glad you like it! There aren't a whole lot of 1/6 Indy figures on the market right now and this one is very decent for the price. I'm rocking the Hot Toys DX05 jacket on mine and it looks phenomenal. It also covers the unsightly wrist joints. Highly recommend if you happen to come across someone selling just that jacket by itself. Happy collecting~

Ford felt pretty strongly about wanting Han Solo dead in some interviews. I guess he does have his favorites. But yeah, I remember watching that Fallon interview live on TV. My soul left my body when he ripped that HT figure apart 😔
