The main point I emphasize is that the standard PV = C/r formula only applies to "ordinary" perpetuities and that it needs to be adjusted in order to determine the present value of a perpetuity due.

Thanks Atif for the wonderful explanation. Can you explain what happens to the formula for perpetuity due in case of growing perpetuity. The formula for growing perpetuity is C/r-g. So would growing perpetuity due be C/r-g * (1+r). Or will it be C/r-g * (1+r-g) which will give the same answer as C/r-g + C. My assumption is the latter however I will wait for your explanation
