The President of the United States was making a speech about supply chains when he quoted a Walmart CEO, but slipped up by reading the line 'end of quote'.
Social media users were quick to point out Biden's latest gaffe.

I'm sure the "font" on Biden's teleprompter is the size of the Empire State Building but the problem is---he doesn't understand what he is saying or can't comprehend what he is reading. His mind is gone. He is incompetent. he is a puppet, parroting only what is on the prompter but just going thru the motions. Notice, he always says, "I'm told I can't take questions" ??? and then he walks off stage.

He does read whatever is on a teleprompter, but this is hardly a mistake, you're supposed to say "end quote" out loud if you state "quote" because otherwise the quote will extend to the entirety of what you said, even if the quote ended long ago. This is basic linguistics, and he got it right, this time at least.

@@jonburrows8602 as I understand it, Biden was quoting someone, so this video does not include the earlier part where Biden says "and I quote....". So this video starts half way into the actual part of his speech where he says "and I quote". You only hear the part where he ends the statement he's quoting therefore making it seem like a gaffe. As I've stated in past posts, I'm not a Biden guy, but I don't like b.s. and when something is purposely made out to deceive I think it should be called out.

The thing that bugs me is he says “End of quote,” When relaying someone else’s words, the correct way to deliver it is “ Quote,” followed by whatever the quote is and ending with “Unquote”. Proper English.
