The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, presented Gallantry Awards and Distinguished Service Decorations at the Defence Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on April 23, 2018.

What I appreciate about the president is that he himself moves forward to give away the awards to the family members of our fallen soldiers. Whereas the serving officers salute him after receiving their awards( that is how it should be)... This step of the president giving importance to the family of the soldier is praiseworthy.

I can see Staff who hails from the state of kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Panjab, Utterpradesh , West Bengal, Haryana almost whole nation that Unitedly call as Indian Arms Force....
