I haven't given back to humanity since I was born. I was a taker, lier, cheater, thief, deciever.... I was 39 years old and I had something very strange happen to me. I've never been the same. But.... The thing that happened to me, put me as a disabled person, and I have still not been a purpose for Humanity. 2 weeks ago I decided to start preying again. The day after that, i started doing push-ups again. There was a time I didn't want to be here anymore. 2 weeks ago I decided to heal myself, and I want to be here as long as he let's me. I've been to the LDS church Around 20 times. Never been baptized, but maybe one day. You will move forward my friends. Have a great Christmas.

I don't think I have heard so many exciting references to the second coming, coming from any other Prophet. And with such frequency! This truly makes me feel like the coming of the Son of Man is nigh!! I just pray I can endure thru these coming trials. I greatly desire to behold the face of the living Christ, even in the flesh!!! Why do I get the impression that President Nelson is holding back so much that he'd like to share with us!

Dallin H Oaks in 2004 gave a conference talk in which he referenced the "hinge point". The title on the talk is Preparation for the Second Coming. The first two paragraphs of the talk are: "In modern revelation we have the promise that if we are prepared we need not fear (see D&C 38:30). I was introduced to that principle 60 years ago this summer when I became a Boy Scout and learned the Scout motto: “Be prepared.” Today I have felt prompted to speak of the importance of preparation for a future event of supreme importance to each of us-the Second Coming of the Lord. The scriptures are rich in references to the Second Coming, an event eagerly awaited by the righteous and dreaded or denied by the wicked. The faithful of all ages have pondered the sequence and meaning of the many events prophesied to precede and follow this hinge point of history."

Whoever put this video together did more good than imagined. If for good, I guarantee that it is being enjoyed. Thank you because I’ve shared it with my loved ones as it actually is a beautiful video. So many wonderful promises await for those who follow the Prophet of the Lord. I believe the seventh seal was opened on April 6th 2000, at the dedication of the Palmyra Temple. We as a world wide church attended this solemn assembly. And did the hosanna shout.

Thank you president Nelson for these reminders for all of us to implement these things into Our Lives and to ponder ,so we will have the strength to carry on the teachings of Jesus Christ and His gospel. God bless you and sister Nelson for your great dedication to us all. President Nelson you are a true prophet of God and there is no one that can dispute a true prophet of God. You will know them by their words and works if they are from the God above or not. You are the Lord spokesman for the world. Sound the trumpet for all the saints together and be strengthened. I think Joseph Smith and those who helped him to organize this church by the hand of our great Lord and savior, and by the men and women from generation to generation until now at this time in these latter days. I do tear up when I think my Lord and savior loved us beyond our understanding! When I finally get done with this world, after we embrace and I tell Him thank you, leaving my tears on his robe and in the palm of his hand, even some on his feet! The only main goal I have in this life is to serve my savior and his people in this life and Life to Come! I want to thank all our missionaries and their families for your service in building the kingdom God!

Everytime I rewatch this. I am so grateful to have received my own witness of the truth of the restored Gospel. I am so grateful to have been born into the covenant and my heart aches for those I love who are still without the light. Tears of joy and tears of sadness for those who are still fighting against Jesus Christ.

I couldn't sleep last night and just hearing our prophet's voice was so calming and soothing!

Being privileged to hear God's profit and sister Nelson feels my heart with unmanageable strength and happiness. It never ceases to amaze me how someone such as I would be blessed to accept the truthfulness of the fulness of the gospel.

The video (7:58) suggests that the term used by President Nelson of a "Hinge Point" may mean the "opening of a gate/door (opening the gates of heaven???)". Based on the context and title of the video, it seems that it was intended to reference some kind of door leading to the Second Coming. But did President Nelson actually tell us what he meant by a "hinge point?" I believe he did. In the April 2020 General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which was the promised unforgettable conference, he said something that caught my attention. He said: "The most important lasting effects of this historic conference will be as our hearts change and we commence a lifelong quest to hear Him." This understanding of a hinge point in our lives as receiving more and more personal revelation to combat an increasingly wicked world has been repeated frequently by President Nelson. The doctrine is far more important to me than is unlocking the secret to when the very moment when Christ will appear and in fact, is the very thing that will prepare me to meet Him when He does come in power and glory.

I enjoyed the video, and I personally believe we are closer than many realize; but two notes: sister Nelson does not hold keys and is not set apart and sustained as a Prophet, Seer, and Revalator. Second; In scripture, the term “thousand,” when in reference to time, is always used symbolically. It represents any predetermined time that God chooses. In other cases, it is always used symbolically for a large number of people or things. The number 1000 is a number that typically signifies the idea of “immensity,” “fullness of quantity” or “multitude.” The number can represent a large number or extended period of time. This general interpretation applies both to the Old Testament as well as the New Testament.

I am grateful for the truths spoken however I think as a church we put far more emphasis on the words of a man than the words of God. President Nelson constantly tells us to listen to God however do we do that? Men even prophets can be wrong however God never will be.

Great video. To add some of my own learnings, it is believed that the age Christ was at the time of the crucifixion (~33 years old) is the same age Adam and Eve were when cast out of the garden of Eden. So the timeline would be more like 3967BC - 33AD to equal 4000 years and then from 33AD to 2033AD would equal the additional 2000 years. So more than likely the second coming will occur sometime close to 2033AD.

Context. Every generation of the church thought they might be the generation to see the savior return. Granted we’re closer than ever but a lot must be done before his return. New Jerusalem needs to be built. And that’s not close to happening yet. It will happen just not in the next couple years at least.

Nice work and very grateful. Soooo? I'm guessing we need to monitor the restoration works at Salt Lake Temple and when they're completed. Cause once the Temple is finished it could be 'game on' for the Second Coming anytime after that work is done.

There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It makes me ask the question has he? Has he returned? Is he meeting with our prophets and apostles? Oh how I pray he is!

Most of the signs spoken of have been since the foundation. They mean an infinite depth of meanings. The signs we look for now are. 1. A temple built in Jerusalem. 2. Adam ondi ahman 3. 2 prophets in the Holy Land. 4. Every nation kindred and tongue fighting against Israel. 5. Armageddon War. When we finally see these signs we will know it is near. As for now we repent daily and prepare to meet him. I know these signs could happen very quickly. That’s why I believe we are in a place where it could happen in the next decade or the next century.

In 2080 my library card will expire; I'll be 117 years old, I'm planning on living that long, maybe even until 2083 to make it an nice even number. So I'm not counting on anything right away. 😄

Many of the Brethren said that they don't know any more than any other member when the end is near. They don't have secret knowledge. The Brethren have started to admit that receiving revelation is a difficult process and it's a struggle for people, even themselves (Elder Holland). Others have said that they see through a glass darkly. Elder Snow said that the Nov 2015 policy wasn't thought through very well, which means that the Brethren might have acted without divine guidance (and they had to overturn it 3 years later). Hugh B Brown said that the Lord only occasionally reveals something to the Brethren and only time of great need. President Hinckley told Larry King that he's confident that the prophets are hearing the voice of the Lord (confident? Those aren't the words one would say who has unmistakably communicated with God). Elder Oaks told a group of Saints in a Q&A that he's never had an experience like Paul or Alma the Younger, and he's not aware of any If the Brethren who has had that experience. If all this is true, and if hearing the voice of God is much more difficult than most members assume, then you can't assume that there are hidden teachings in President Nelson's comments, or that he had secret knowledge in his head. The cult meter on these types of videos and in the comments section is off the charts.

I wish I could say it will be in our lifetimes…but knowing that God’s timing is usually MUCH longer than we think, I don’t believe it’s as close as we’d like it to be. And it won’t be in our lifetime. Likely a hundred more years or more. We still need to prepare our spirits and foundations, but not for the 2nd Coming-more for the calamity and difficulty of the days preceding it, which will last a long time. This is only my opinion, as no one knows except God, but that’s my gut feeling.

I enjoyed your video, CJ, but I think that you missed a key point in your Slides 3 and 4 related to the 7 seals. As many Protestants do, you seem to have made the mistake of thinking that Jesus will return at the beginning of the 7th Millennium. That's not what John the Beloved saw in his vision. You noted correctly from D&C 77:6 that as each of the seven seals were opened for John, he saw events from each of the seven millennia of Earth's religious history. However, you skipped over the specifics of what John actually saw when the 7th seal was opened. According to John, did Christ return immediately? No. A lot of events proceeded after the 7th seal was opened and Christ then returned. The seal is opened in Chapt. 8, Verse 1 of John's Revelation, as he writes: "And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour." Question 1: Was that a half hour in mankind's time or in God's time? Remember,1,000 years to man is 1 day to God. So how long is half an hour in God's time for mankind? There are 48 half hours in a day, so we divide 1,000 by 48. The answer? About 21 years. In other words, about NOW! Then what happens? "5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake." But no Christ yet. Then "7 ... there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8 ... and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters." Still Christ does not come, rather many more events are prophesied before then, including numerous plagues described in Chapter 9. In Chapter 10 an angel opens a little book, and John is told that he (us?) still has to prophesy "before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings." Chapter 11 then describes the mission of two prophets to Jerusalem who will ultimately be killed but be resurrected after 2.5 days. Other revelations have suggested that it will be soon thereafter that Jesus will reveal himself to those in Jerusalem. However, Chapter 12 seems to be a flashback to the War in Heaven during our premortal life when Michael led the fight against Lucifer. Chapter 13 seems to describe the Dark Ages, when Satan made "war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." In Chapter 14 an angel restores the gospel (still part of the flashback?) and it is taught to "every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." In Verse 8 Babylon falls; in Verse 10 Christ and his angels have arrived; and Verse 14 seems to describe Christ's public arrival on a cloud in the sky. Chapters 15-19 all seem to describe the destruction of the wicked. And, finally, Chapter 20 describes the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ, with his valiant disciples who have given their lives for the Lord ruling with him. The resurrection of the righteous begins, while the wicked remain in Spirit Prison until the end of the 1,000 years, at which time there is a final battle between good and evil. And the last four verses describe the Final Judgment of God. Chapter 21 describes the glorification of Earth, and of the righteous who dwell with God on the celestialized Earth when "7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." And Chapter 22 describes the final fate of the just and the unjust. CONCLUSION: We could be at the end of the half hour of peace in the heavens when all heck breaks loose. D&C 45:66-75 describes it as a time when anyone not willing to take up his sword against his neighbor will have to flee to the New Jerusalem (aka Zion) for safety and the 10 lost tribes and others will also come to Zion, protected by God. D&C 88:86-106 seems to place some of the final events in a somewhat different order, but there is still reason to think that a number of prophecies need to be fulfilled before Christ's return, even if we have already entered the 7th Millennium.

No one knows not even the angels. We all can see the signs. It may in fact be in my lifetime.

I don’t know what I believe these days, but one thing that confuses me is this: If what’s taught in LDS doctrine about the pre-earth life… is true…. Why do so many people fall away from the church and most people not desire it or wanna learn about it? I mean, 2/3’s of Heaven chose to follow Gods plan and come to this earth (according to LDS doctrine)… I know there’s a veil and all… but you would think the church would be exploding throughout the earth. I mean 2/3’s of Heaven came to this earth and followed Gods plan (according to LDS doctrine)…. Then why aren’t more people “receptive” to it? It should be so sweet and enlightening to the mind and soul, when one learns of it… yet so many people that do get into it, a lot of them fall away. Why are their only 16,000,000 (and of them, probably only half are active - so about 8,000,000) so into the church and believing of it? Like why is only like .002% of the 8 billion people on this earth so receptive to the message the LDS church is spreading? I don’t know… I just feel it’s unfair. I can’t remember my pre-earth life in a fallen mortal world…. yet I’m supposed to somehow be so receptive to the LDS message and follow it and be baptized and repent, etc…. Or else like I’m damned… it just seems unfair. Like literally more than 99% of people throughout time and atleast in the last 200 years, have not accepted the LDS church. Anyway, not dogging on the church… just confused as to why Gods plan would be to send us to earth, not remembering anything, and yet we have to join His one and only true church (by either being born into it or at some point in our life converted and baptized into it) and follow His commandments and repent and go through all these steps in the church… in order to make it back to Him. It just feels unfair. It feels confusing. Especially with the hundreds and hundreds of different religions out there. Anyway, I’ll continue just being a good person for now and believe in God and His Son…. But remain unnattached to a church/religion for now. Gonna keep soul searching.

There’s one key teaching that is missing in all the statements: what about Elias who is the forerunner to Jesus Christ? He has the keys to restore all things as part of the preparation for the Second Coming (D&C 27:6). The church is silent on the subject. If Elias hasn’t come then how close can we really be? Why are the prophets silent about him?

I think the second coming comes AFTER all 7 thousand years (seals). I used to think this, but then I came across the chapter headings in the book of Revelation in the standard works: Chapter 7 John also sees in the sixth seal the Restoration of the gospel, the sealing of the 144,000, and the hosts of the exalted from all nations. Chapter 8 John sees fire and desolation poured out during the seventh seal and preceding the Second Coming. (Note the word PRECEDING)

One hundred years later, a Dr. LELAND JENSEN claimed to be His Joshua, or 'Jesus as High Priest..' (Zech 3:9).. ☆£☆

I wonder who the two prophets are that will lie dead in the streets of Jerusalem before Jesus comes? I also can't wait to see the temple in Independence MO built before Jesus comes. I wonder how soon they'll announce that temple to be built? Won't it be exciting when Adam appears at Adam ondi Ahman and gives the keys back to Jesus before he appears in general.

Acts 1:10-11 If we measure Christ's 2nd coming as 2000 years from the time of the angel's statement at His ascension (Christ thought to be age 33 at the time of his death/resurrection), rather than from His birth, 2000 years from that time would be around 2033. I'm not saying that is the time of His return....just an observation.

The only thing I have to say is that no one knows when the Second Coming will come - and we can't and use math to figure it out as our time is not the Lord's time - We need to be ready at any moment to meet our Savior - and we need not worry about whats going on - Jesus said -“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:26-27).

At the time of the birth of Christ, many signs were given in the heavens: 12 Aug, 3 BC conjunction of Jupiter and Venus so close that they appear to touch; Sep 3 BC retrograde motion of Jupiter above the royal star Regulus in the constellation Leo the lion, symbolic of the Coronation of the Son of God, King of the Jews; 17 Jun, 2 BC again a conjunction of Jupiter and Venus, so close that they appeared to touch, signifying the conception of the Only Begotten; 6Apr, 1 BC at 2:30 AM, an angel appeared unto shepherds in the land of Jerusalem and the glory of the Lord shown round about them (the sky was as bright as mid-day); at the same moment, eight time zones to the west (6:30 PM, Zarahemla) at the setting of the sun it was as bright as mid-day throughout the night, as prophesied by the prophet Samuel the Lamanite, a few weeks more than five years earlier (no darkness in all the Earth on the night that Christ was born). Consider: Nephite calendar followed Mosaic law with new year marked by the new moon closest to the vernal equinox (24 Mar, 1 BC) so Samuel’s prophecy that after the end of the ninety-first year of the reign of the judges cometh the Son of God. The sun was in the constellation of Aries the ram (signifying the Lamb of God). The star (in the constellation of Virgo) that lit up the sky “as bright as mid-day” dimmed a little in the next 15 hours so that it was visible rising in the east the following sunset in Jerusalem, and across the earth in its turn. In the ensuing months it rose higher in the sky (about 30 degrees per month as all stars do) so that in early September it appeared after sunset to be toward the west of Jerusalem, over Bethlehem with, you guessed it, Jupiter and Venus now in the constellation of Virgo. It is likely at that time when the Wise Men came to visit the King of the Jews, and angered Herod, who then ordered the Slaughter of the Innocents, still remembered as a day of mourning in December. There have been signs in the heavens in our time: total eclipse (face of the sun darkened and the moon will refuse to give her light) that crossed the US from west to east in 2017; in close succession, another total eclipse will cross the US from north to south in 2024 (seven-year interval significant?), and an annular eclipse will cross the southwestern US in 2023; the star that is the right shoulder of Orion was dimmed a few years ago, but it is bright again.
