The president of the Tibetan government in exile in Dhar- amsala has trashed China’s claims over Indian territory, citing the 1914 Simla Agreement that defines the border between India and Tibet to which Tibetans were signatories. “Ti- betans are happy with that,” he says.

Tibetians are Budhist & therefore very religious. What does an atheist and communist China got to do with Tibets ? Tibet is culturally, religiously & traditionally linked & aligned to lndia and no other nation. Any concrete move by the USA, India & the West to free and liberate Tibet is a most welcome move in line with their rhetoric on freedom of speech, religion, language & culture. These freedoms are suppressed under the Chinese oppression.

India should come out in full support for "Free Tibet Movement" and abandon "One China Policy." Historically Tibet was never the part of the Hun Chinese Empire. Therefore, what India could not do in 1959 to save Tibet from Chinese occupation by force, should be done now in the way of supporting the cause of Tibetan Freedom.

India scrapped article 370, annexing j&k, and decided to draw india boundary into tibet at ladakh. China helped tibet against incursion by allowing tibetan forces to sit on 2000 km sq of disputed land.

You 's better read some more history book. In Qing Dynasty, Central government army is in Tibet. Once to select Dalai Lama, also need central government's Gold Bottle to sort out the one from 3 candidates and to get final approval from Chinese King.

India renaming chinese occupied tibetian places with their original names with the list now going to the US for official ratifications. This will enable google maps to rename these places and make one of the places which is undecided the official capital of Tibet, thereby increasing the pressure on china to come to the table to discuss on the most important issue which plagues mankind. India will then become a kindmaker in the whole process with the help of the QUAD.

One wonders whether this so called ‘ Tibetan govt. in exile ‘ has any legal representation rights or even any official recognition by any country other than the Ned , which is obviously the main org. funding this exiles. ! These people r either high on Himalayian weeds & having endless bolts of illusions about liberating China’s province of Tibet or just simply detached from the reality of what Tibet is today , as an economic & progressive society of proud citizens of China where the Tibetans & the Han Chinese live, work & participate together for the development of their province. Today’s Tibetan society enjoys a much higher living stds, freedom to travel, work , educational & job opportunities are available to all citizens to pursue , which has been a transformation from the days of serfdom under the Dalai Lamas & its feudal system.! Any attempts to alter the modernity of the present Tibetan society, would be firmly opposed by the younger generation of Tibetan youth in China today. !
