We shouldn’t forget that although Former President Reagan raised our national debt by 189 percent along with the deficits that exploded he was a great man and with a good heart. He did what he believed was right for the American People. By 1993 the Republican Party was changing and becoming to Partisan with Newt Gingrich’s takeover. As a Moderate Republican I thank President Reagan for being my leader even though I wasn’t yet born. God bless Ronald Reagan.

@Malcolmdeeb
@Malcolmdeeb 4 жыл бұрын
ChickenCaesarSalad There is no “best” President. Presidents aren’t athletes who’re competing using a set of determinable measures. Presidents can only be graded by how they reacted to the particular set of challenges during the historical period for which they served. FDR can be considered a great President because he not only saved the nation from economic, societal, and structural collapse, he created safety measures to avoid future catastrophic crisis. However, his failure to engage against German aggression in Europe has considered a cause for the extended duration of WWII. Nixon, whose criminal actions led to calls from Republican members of Congress for him to resign, can inarguably be commended for his accomplishments like the creation of the EPA and for his diplomatic reengagement with China. Even those men whose presidencies could be looked at as “failures,” were great men when viewing the entirety of their life’s accomplishments (ie. Carter and Hoover). So, there is no objective answer for who was the “best” president.

I consider Ronald Reagan by far the best President I have seen in my life and certainly in the top four or five in the entire United States of America history. A capable, firm and compassionate man with great faith in God, tenaciously at the service of his country in the interest of the citizens. Ronald Reagan is a Titan of History alongside John Paul II and Margareth Thatcher, three characters fiercely defenders of Tradition and irreducible adversaries of the empire of evil no ifs and buts. Thanks Ronnie, God bless you we will always remember you with enormous respect and regret for how things have turned out in the last few decades with ambiguous characters and strange destructive and criminal ideologies. "My" America ends with the disappearance of John Wayne and Ronald Reagan but I hope that little by little we will return to the wide pastures of Reaganian liberalism, pride in their traditions and above all in the cultivation of integrity and respect as powerful engines in the life of every nation. Thanks Gipper!

We love America greatly and appreciate America's own foundations and constitutions and unity. Only America is the best country for the freedoms of the Capitalism systems. Without the freedoms and entrepreneurships, America will fall into the different categories of the world. This is why we must cherish what we have for other people to dream for by cherishing our country's own foundations of the Capitalism system of the liberty and entrepreneurships and constitutions as well as our country's own unity 1st, so our country will be shine on the hill forever.

@@APOCALYPSE_X-MEN Six foot 1 inch actually. Here he is getting along in years and Alzheimer's has already set in, though unnoticed by some people and undiagnosed. From personal experience with the disease I know that it can also cause a decline in stature, mostly because of the afflicted person's inability to comprehend the acts of standing and walking, so their knees are almost constantly bent which causes the loss in 1-2 inches of height. Add this to the natural compression of the spine that comes with old age and you lose 3-4 inches. I'd say he's not quite 5' 11" here, maybe closer to 5' 10".

@@marketingheavydutytowcompa6996 With all due respect, who are you to say what he would and wouldn't support? Only he has the ability to tell us what he would or wouldn't support and seeing as how he's dead, we don't have that luxury. In studying the policies of the Reagan administration, careful examination of speeches and public appearances there are some policies presented by Trump that Reagan might have agreed with, but I doubt he would have "wholeheartedly support(ed) every single step and policy decision the Trump administration has made." But, as I said before, only Reagan himself would know 100%, and he's been dead and gone for a long time. According to most people's belief (myself included) the dead lie in wait for the Lord's return and know not the happenings of the earth, nor do they care, so we wont ever get to know because his spirit has most likely not developed an opinion. However, it is the individuals right to examine all evidence and make a decision for themselves, whether or not it can be backed up, and I respect that freedom. Based on my own research, I'll just have to politely disagree with you.

If this is an award given to civilians for great deeds, why did Reagan get it? His "great deeds" were not done in his civilian life but as part of his elected government position. He was commander-in-chief of the military. Civilian?

+Escape for Mankind You missed the point. Did he do it as a government servant or as a "civilian"? This is an award for civilians. Besides, those accomplishments weren't his alone. He just got credit for it. He wasn't that smart.

I believe President Reagan was one of the BEST presidents ever! He did make some mistakes? ( No one is perfect) One of his mistakes was picking Bush! We got stuck with them for 12 years! The Bushes even try to shove JEB on 🇺🇲!

@@breakglassdawkins1570 What do you mean by that? The comment isn't negative, it's the truth, sometimes the truth hurts. Before you go harking on me, I've seen the disease and felt it, it took my Grandmother. You can see how it has affected Reagan, frequent pauses, jittery, unbalanced, unfocused, and his voice has deepened beyond that which would be caused by old age alone. It's the sad and painful truth that all those who are afflicted with Alzheimer's must face.
