That was true. I was a teenager in Michigan when the King visited. For some reason i found him interesting and wrote him a letter. He sent me back an autographed picture.

this was back in 1983, look at the quality of these two gentlemen- arguably the best in each of their countries- Nepal and USA. And after 37 years we are currently represented by leaders like the ones we have in baluwatar and the white house. I wonder what brought the world and our countries to this. Clearly, this is not progress. not to forget Queen Aishwarya , simple yet elegant compared to the pompous one we currently have in sheetal niwas. Akhir Raja vanya raja nai hun!

I may have been Nepalese but this event occurred way before my birth. Even tho a lot of people are unsatisfied or resentful towards KZfaq for its controversial policies towards content creators and censorship of historical educational content, I’m glad that it atleast does fulfill its original legacy. Preservation of memories of the past and a historic relic for the generations to come.

Everyone is complaining about the current situation of Nepal. We know and its saddening to see the present situation of Nepal. Here we cant only blame politicians but we must blame ourself for choosing/voting such leader. Now lets be optimistic. Birendra visited the USA between 10 and 13 December 1983. He also travelled to Orlando, Dallas, New York City, and Boston. In the same trip, he had a private visit to Atlanta, San Francisco, and Honolulu.
