@@thewingedhussars6313 Not that the boers or the blacks ever had a good relationship. Still, after abolishing slavery, the British descendants of those who made things in SA even worse tried to rectify what their ancestors had wraught, and even fought a war against the boers, at least in part over it.

@magicblanket Which is no better when the Saudis or Chinese do it than it was when the boers did! And lat's face it, the boers contributed to the plague that is modern slavery! Why did the Saudis and Chinese adopt, of all things, the worst parts about the history of western civilizations?

I’m a Canadian of 60 years old and I am definitely more left of center than either Reagan or Rump. But I also know it takes both the left and right sides of the brain and democratic governments to function. Reagan was an old Mcarthy witch hunt hold out. But even that is better than that bowl of mashed carrots called Trump. And I’m not a fan of Biden either.

@@davidverster9523 he was a shit president he ramped up the war on drugs which has cost on trillions of dollars, destroyed millions of lives, killed thousands upon thousands, and only strengthened the cartels. He also deregulated industry leading to more deindustrialization and the rise of corporate power in the US and the destruction of thousands of small businesses and the complete take over of massive chains like Walmart. @Nathan Hoffman President Reagan fought Communist and facism , Hitler and Stalin are the embodiment of authoritarian regime , Reagan motto was the governement was the problem not the solution . Reagan wanted minimum interference of the gouvernement in people s life unlike Hitler and Stalin who both were control freak. . As far as their personalities are concerned studyng these 2 mens (Hitler and Stalin) one can notice easily that these 2 mens were full of hatred from an early age .

A US- led UN coalition with France, UK, Germany...should have intervened the minute South Africa stepped into Angola. That would have killed two birds with one stone. First, it would have denied Soviet-backed Cubans the excuse to intervene in the Angolan Civil War that was going on, and second ,it would have been for a good cause and provided moral justification for US military presence in the area and back to first point deterred any Soviet penetration.Fighting the spread of Apartheid would have helped fight the spread of Comunism. Now,once the South African army is kicked out of Angola, then chase them down South into Namibia and liberate them too in the process. Meanwhile the Soviets have no excuse to intervene cause the coalition is fighting Apartheid, not Comunism, but at the same time not giving any Comunist "liberation"guerrillas the chance to dominate. Then elections are called and boom, democracy in Angola and Namibia and all done in the name of fighting South African Apartheid...fucking perfect plan...why didn't we do this?
