As a Marine Vet this speech is historic for the Corps. The only flaw is the he should have said the men and women of the Marine Corps. Brothers and sisters getting the job done. Semper Fi.

He was speaking about the battles in these places, which were fought by men. He’s giving credit to the grunts.

Back when Generals represented their men. My Grandfather served with then Col Kelley during Vietnam. They were "old school" Marines that did what was needed to be done.
