They needed Pakistan to kick Soviet Union out of Afghanistan and win them the Cold War. A defeat which would break Soviet Union in to pieces. The US provided ISI with financial assistance including shipping weapons to the Taliban. My Zia also saved Pakistan from brutal Soviets who had planned to Karachi port next and take over access to hot waters.

They did the same to JF Kennedy in fact his whole family was taken out. My point is Mr Zia was punished for secretly completing Pakistan’s nuclear bomb and after defeating the Soviets in Afghanistan had his eyes firmly set on reuniting Muslim ummah and sending the Taliban to IOK. Mr Zia simply had to be stopped the likes of USA, Israel, U.K. Russia and even Iran could not tolerate a man who was not their “yes man” and took great pride in being Muslim and Pakistani.

Nusrat Rizvi: A day or 2 after moving into the White House a phone call came from the gate sentry asking Mr. George Schulz is here without an appointment. President said let him in and seem delighted to have an old friend to talk with. They had a lunch and later on dinner also. After dinner President excused himself to go to bathroom when he returned he beacon-ed a guard, when the guard came near the Present whispered a question in his ear asking who is this man chatting with Nancy? The US was being run by a man who was almost deranged.

b-coz ayyub put the pakistan defence in hands of usa by joining us-militry alliances SEATO and CENTO against soviet russia ussr. read ayyub khan book "Friend NOT Masters" by these agreements, it was usa responsibility to help pakistan in 1965 and 1971 wars as the India was russian alley but ..... specialy in 1971 pak army keenly waiting for american 7th. fleet USS Enterprises. which was approached in bay of bengal only to rescue us citizens. when russian fleet arrived the uss fleet fled in indian ocean. thats why bhutto left these treaties and usa put harsh statements agaist bhutto.

Gen. Ziaul Haq was a noble and brave man. He caused USSR humiliating exit from Afghanistan. Although then Prime Minister Bhutto was the One who created Bangladesh by refusing Awami League's clear success in the general elections but Zia punished him in the wrong way. Apparently Bhutto was not involved in Muhammad Raza Qasoori's murder.

The government of Gen. Zia ul Haq was very strong. There was peace & stability in the country. The market affairs were controlled & no one ( daily baes) could dare to self-tag the prices of any article( vegetable, fruit, medicine, cigarettes, plats, houses, building material, transport fare, Railways. Jobs were on merits. No bribe culture. Police was in honour, bureaucracy was disciplined. Judiciary was prestigious. The morale of Army was touching the pinnacles of Himalayan boost & honour. No youthian fitna was anywhere. People & country was prosperous. Gen, zia was strong-nerved personality. Everything good was present in its orbits. Bads were clutched. Media was not immorally unleashed as it is now since the period of grand fitna. Nation was nation, integrated & harmonious. Youths were civilized & morally polished not as it is since the worst. Government & presence of fitna. Simplicity was the social culture. Academic institutions were real in their moral & pleasant attractive colour. General Zia made strong Pakistan. Salute to General Zia ul Haq. Salute to Pak Army.
