Would recommend a heavy duty 12 gauge power cord with this radio. It is pulling some amps. Looks like a sub par power cord in the box.

I find the rf-gain meter a poor choice from President. They should have made it a modulation-meter or swr so you dont have to look at a full meter the whole time Other than that, ofcuz it should have been a base radio, like the first Washington, but thats also my opinion. Tnx for the test.

@TheRadioGarage that's a bummer. Is it all smd stuff inside? I assume so, if it's like the rest of what's coming out. I did some trials of both the components and had ok luck on the quad 6 and 955. I am seriously considering one of these though. Be a good radio for the truck.

Single side band I believe. New to CB radios myself & trying to learn but not surprised you got no reply. For some reason there's not much beginner videos that explain things to complete noobs. Also it seems most "experts" or veterans can't be bothered to try & explain this stuff. Good luck finding info, it's frustrating.
