Presidential Inauguration | Rand firms ahead of Ramaphosa inauguration

9 күн бұрынThe rand was firmer on Tuesday, holding to its best gains since May as investors welcomed the re-election of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
President-elect Ramaphosa will be inaugurated on Wednesday.
This will mark the 7th administration since the start of democracy in S.A. in 1994.
The president's re-election comes after the ANC, DA, Patriotic Alliance, IFP and GOOD agreed to join the Government of National Unity (GNU), which has 273 seats in the National Assembly, or 68%.
The ANC said in a statement on Monday that discussions with other parties are continuing "in the spirit of inclusivity".

Stronger the Rand stronger the purchasing power of South Africa. Commodities prices come down. Fuel and gas price come down. Inflation comes down. All South Africans benefit. People will have disposable income. People start small businesses. More people get employed. Poverty decreases, crime decreases.

My thoughts reasoning state that an elected leader is chosen to balance the economic status which brings change in the country based on the respond for change and that is a very strong factor.
