Lowkey agree with adeola like the flight is covered under the business’ expenses so technically the guy isn’t the one paying for his friend to be in first class, the business is. The compromise could have been that he changed his and sat with her in the back

I have been a stay at home mom for twenty years. My youngest is going off to college. I’m here to say that this work is undervalued. It doesn’t matter if you both decide that you are going to stay home or not. It is a job. It is all day every day. So if you’ve been offered to go on the work trip, you should sit with your husband if you want. The extra expense of the ticket, now we’re going to scrimp about that? So I guess she can’t eat on the trip because that is also extra expense. I don’t like the way it’s being characterized, the wife is complaining you’re not around. A father should be a co-parent, no? A husband should be around to husband, right? My husband would never do anything like this. I went on a work trip with him to Chicago and we sat together. Period.

@@srsly___uio if the kids go to school she has to get up early to wake them up and get them ready and deal with the non stop fussing because they don’t want to go 😂.Then has to prepare breakfast, make sure they eat it, get them to school and whilst their at school, clean the house, buy groceries, cook, pick them up, probably finish cooking and it goes on to the point where i’m already too exhausted to continue 🤣so that’s why

so basically she’s doing what every other decent mother does for there children, only most mothers do it while also having a full time job. my point is that a stay at home mother (unless homeschooled children) is probably the easy option for mothers, on top off that an extreme privileged to be able to afford.

Well, being a stay at home mom and a homemaker is a full time job. Even if you don’t home school. When kids are at school you are fulfilling other duties. Yes it is a privilege to be able to afford, but then you have people belittling your work all the while holding motherhood up as the be all of womanhood. Anyway whatever. I admire all mothers and I don’t belittle anyone. I just say your husband of all people should value you, otherwise what’s going on? I don’t know why they wouldn’t sit together on a plane. As I’ve already said she is already an added cost for food, and probably the room. Now you won’t sit together? Where is the time together then? It doesn’t make sense. To ME.

That business trip conversation is basically like. The husband going for a work meal. The wife complaining that they don’t go out. Soo he then invites her to then turn Around and leave her at a table on her own. If ur husband respected you then he would treat u with just that. And there is numerous men who take their partners on business trips and INCLUDES them all the way. But that’s just my opinion

The wigs conversation is mad! We’ve just become so accustomed to wigs, that the black community is shocked with Indiyah wearing her natural hair on LI. It’s literally not a big deal! I only wear my natural hair too cause who even has time for wigs? 😭. Can we move away from wigs a little please? Not only is it damaging for your hair and edges but the whole lace thing, everything just looks so unnatural. Just my opinion 😭🤷🏾‍♀️

Literally, it’s one thing to have wigs that look good but the fact that I’ve seen some absolutely horrendous, old scruffy looking wigs on some black women and they actually think it looks better than our natural hair or even a bald head really offends me

I’ve literally been talked down on for wearing my natural hair. It’s so pathetic. Im told that I don’t look fancy I should be more dressed up. Why is the hair that grows on my head not deemed high enough to wear to events??

The worse one is when someone asks you “when are you getting your hair done? ”….Our natural hair is so beautiful and we should never allow anyone to tell us otherwise. Don’t get me wrong I still love wearing my braids and locs. But I no longer jump from one hairstyle to the next. I allow myself to spend time with my hair for at least a month now

I don’t wear wigs anymore but I would recommend black women to wear wigs that look like their own natural hair. Whereas it’s 4c wigs or afro wigs. White and asian people wear wigs and extensions too. Especially extensions. But they wear hair that’s similar to their hair texture. :)

Part of the issue with the business flight vs economy is the friend being a messy boots and feeling comfortable to message the wife saying “that’s why he doesn’t want you on these trips”. It implies the husband has been talking their business with the “friend” (who I think he’s doing something with tbh) to the point that the friend has the audacity to text the wife. That’s ridiculous

If I’m a stay at home mom and I voice that we never spend time on vacation together why would you think I want to go on your work trip? Of course she’s going to go because she probably never gets out the house anyways. If you weren’t going to make the effort to actually take her on a trip, at least pay for a first class ticket so she feels like your equal. The friend felt comfortable disrespecting her with that text because he probably hears the husband disrespecting her. And truthfully I’m getting lovers and friends vibes from them

Adeola was absolutely on point, You took it upon yourself to go ahead with him to work instead of planning a proper break away and if it’s for business, it might of been paid for him and the friend to be in 1st class. He probably SHOULD of said, let ME pay for my wife to be in 1st class too lol but at this point is it really about spending time or is about the luxury of the flight.

You must be insane if you think my man can put me in economy and fly first class with his friend. 1. we are on a flight why would you not want to be sitting with me? 2. if you do not want to pay for me to be in first class then you and this friend better be joining me in economy! 3. For me (about the debate about the business trip at the end) is less about where I am sitting vs where my man/his friend is sitting (although I would prefer to be beside my man if I had to go on his business trip) but more about why the hell the friend/business partner is texting me calling me entitled and “just a stay at home mum” 🫠🫠🫠 I’ve worked full time since I was 15, sometimes working 30+ days without a day off, night shifts, back to back days shifts into night shifts, dealt with impossible customers and incredibly unwell patients and I can 100% guarantee that being a stay at home mum is sooo much more difficult than any of that! And I only have one child and she’s just turned one! That friend shouldn’t be a friend to her man any longer after that stunt for sure!

Surprised that Adeola devalues the importance of the wife as a housewife and so dismissive of her being upset that she was put in economy. She injected so many variables to justify the mistreatment of the wife and when Indiyah and Mariam injected variables to justify the the reason the wife was upset she would dismiss it. He is not the 1st to have a business, you have not seen people with businesses give their spouses roles in their business so that their activities can be written off as expenses. It was very painful to watch to be honest.

but that's exactly what you are when he's on a business trip and you're stuck in a hotel waiting for him to come back. probably only seeing him in the evening. what's the point, you're basically a chaperone. the girl is at fault for not asking for actual real quality time. and the guy is at fault for booking economy because he knew what he was doing when he chose economy over business.

I know Indiyah has seen the show before and how black girl's are literally left on the shelf by both black and white guys most time's so when we say black love there's a lot under that umbrella not just us telling you what race to date.....I just felt like that was an unnecessary and irrelevant point to make when it comes to a show like love island as clearly as a black girl sadly our support mainly as a black collective got your black love where it got and had you gone in wanting brad would have left week one...with that dream and yes Dami being into a black girl is also not a norm on that show so yeah...it was black love support .

I love how adeola things with regards to the business trip because she is actually putting herself in the shoes if the roles was reversed. The first class is not going to be payed with housekeeping chores and most importantly you are not privileged to get on first class just because you do house chores. Lesson of the day : have a source of income
