Hey! Might be a silly question… but would you recommend wearing some sort of mask while doing this in general? Thanks bud!

When we are doing surface cleaning like this, it’s not really a big deal because you’re just getting dirty and it’s mostly on the ground. When we are doing house washes where we are spraying chemical in the air and it’s coming back on us, we sometimes wear a gator around our face. Most times we wear that any way because it keeps us safe from the sun.

Just my opinion and only about pressure washing. I have had all kinds of small debris (pebbles, twigs, etc) fly up and hit me. Not enough to do any damage, but no one likes getting hit in the eye. I always wear safety glasses when doing anything that can throw stuff back at me. But your call for yourself.

Great question, Cal; with any electrical or power lines, be careful but also be overly communicative with your clients about your worries or concerns to get that part of the house cleaned.

I’ve watched a few videos of lawn restoration and power washing and often wonder about wearing a mask. The only reason I can think for not wearing one is restricted breathing. This is arduous work; if a mask is worn, it should allow abundant air flow or essentially be an oxygen mask. Any thoughts?

What cleaning solution would you recommend?

This was all done with no cleaning solution, just pressure. But we use chemical to clean houses a lot. Every company uses the same chemical really. It's called SH (in the business). It's Sodium Hypochlorite (basically liquid chlorine at a pool store). You then dial in the exact ratio you want based on what you're cleaning, and you have a surfactant that allows it to stick on vertical services better. Then you simply spray it on, watch it disappear, and spray off.

Always wash top down so you don't have dirty water running over your clean area....... Twice as much work doing in this pattern. Waste of time and water this way. Time is someone's money ....

We are always spraying the cement clean after the fact any way regardless of which direction we go, so we find it easier to not stress the exact direction when cleaning something like this. We definitely take pride in our efficiency. Thanks for the helpful comment though. We appreciate you watching the videos.
