I have a part time lawn care business. I would tell folks hands down to start a washing business. You can work year around (down south anyway) and when you want to take off, you just don't schedule jobs. Lawn care is so dependent on recurring weekly/bi-weekly customers that you are really stuck on a mower all season without any break. Just my experience.

Yup. With my cleaning business, if I want to take off I just go. I can hire an answering service for pretty cheap to answer all my calls and schedule for when I get back. I don’t think this will be the case as I grow and hire employees, but cleaning does come with more freedom. The downside is you have no security in clientele. You are always looking for new dollars. That is the case with mowing too to a degree though. Clients drop off at an average rate of 20% per year I believe. So it’s pedal to the metal either way for marketing.

my old neighbour had a mowing business, he found a niche in the market doing steep rural blocks that most others didn't want to do because it needed 4x4 mowers with that he was able to charge accordingly an made great money doing so but Mike is right equipment and maintenance costs is high

I’ve been trying so hard to find a partner who can take care of all of the boots on ground work for me (doorhangers and signs, then service.) with lawn care. Then me do all paperwork, online marketing, and funding. I think the two easiest businesses to scale to profitability are lawn care/landscaping and exterior cleaning. Would love to own both of them

@@AllAboutPressureWashing My grandfather had prior to 2008 the biggest appraisal business in Alabama and I believe bigger than several states around us. When 2008 hit he and his partner scaled back to only working together after draining 90%+ of their cash trying to keep it afloat. Now they have built it to have little over 20 guys/girls in the field. Their number one advice to me was to find one person in this world you can rely on that you share goals with, then do everything with them 50/50. I believe if you can find a friend like that the possibilities on what your minds can do together is endless.

First month in business pressure washing landed a job almost every day ontop of doing my day job. Made over 6000 dollars avging 1 job a day minus weekends. Learned everything I know from you guys and your courses keep up the good information flow helps more than you guys know for someone like me who's been working on semi trucks my whole life.

Guys im 13 and I have a 1.3 2000 psi electric can I use this to get started im not looking for anything crazy but I do wanna start I also don’t have a surface cleaner just the pressure washer and a bleach hdx pump sprayer it’s all I can afford is this enough to start at 13??

if I were you I'd just start with the pressure washer alone, and worry about upgrades and chemicals later.
