Hi Joe as you know I fish mostly natural venues and have tried Slik which had too much stretch. Nice for commercial venues but allowed bigger fish to get into the snags. So if this does start soft and then powers up it may prove ok other than in some of the snag pit swims, and at a price that is very competitive. Look forward to trying this out. Regards Bill

I have always used hybrid elastic but they do overstretch when playing bigger fish I have just last week got myself the Preston edge monster so will try this elastic when I can get my hands on some 👍👍

Fished with 13 and 15 at makins today. wow great stuff more to it than slik ... very impressed !

Best elastic on the market lov it been using the 13, 15,17 this summer at the glebe had 180 pound of carp vertually on one top kit the 15 wow awesome it looked brand new after also the 17 is brilliant in the edge also used it for mugging still soft but powers up lovely

My local venue has some of the strongest fighting carp and i keep losing them to the lily pads. Hopefully this elastic prevents more hook pulls and getting snapped cause my old elastic was a solid elastic and it doesn't stretch as good as it used to so that's the reason I'm gonna switch to the 15 dura slip soon

I’ve used Preston Dura Hollo for many years (10 for my Carp and big F1 fishing, 12 for my edge fishing) the dura hollo has never let me down . . It’s brilliant. Is this hybrid elastic the beginning of the end for the dura hollo range?

Hi guys, I'm almost 60, got back into fishing last year, baught a pole this year, back in the day when woodlands Thirsk was brand new, we basically cut out top kits back and shot a 20 elastic in them 🤣 I could hold me own years ago, I can barely hold me pole these days, however I still love it so I'm getting back into it, haven't things changed in the last 20 years 😂😂 I'm getting to grips with it, however the choice of elastic is simply mind boggling, I have 4 top kits, only one for down my edge, that's not a problem, what do I put in the other three as a standard elastic, so I can enjoy silver fish and f1s, but have a chance with coping with 7/8lb carp shoul it happen along, 9,11,or 13?

Hi Joe, I use dura slip in all my power tops love the 15 and 13. I've just brought some short stops for my x300 what grade elastic would you recommend for for carp/ F1's 11 or 13. Cheers

Ive use the matrix slik for a year now and not looked back, will defo be giving this a go, Joe I'm a fan of using the bead connection on all my elastics will it still work on these elastics?

I’ve used slik hybrid elastic I think it has a fault,I use guru Dacrons and with bonus fish on the lighter elastics the dacrons have cut through the elastic, I’m going to try this see if it’s any different I will try 13 first in 2 kits and a couple of the 7

Great elastic. Already done some of my top 2's with no 13. Waiting for new pole to arrive so I can fit 15 and 9. As previous subscriber said,Why not so in 5 meter lengths at about £9 so you can do 2 top 2's. ?
