My name is Gabe and on this channel i'm showing you where to travel 2022 and how can you solo travel with a drone in Preston Lancashire
I'm not a travel guru, however i'm trying to find the most underrated cities and destination and present them in my solo travel vlog.
Considering subscribing for best backpacking destinations.
Preston is a historic town located in Lancashire. The city is most known for its Guild celebrations, which take place every 20 years, but the party doesn't end there; the city comes alive with a variety of events throughout year.
Every Saturday on summer, there is a different event on the Flag Market and in the Harris, or you can visit one of Preston's other fantastic locations to enjoy the city's eclectic events calendar. There is always something fresh and unusual to enjoy, from exhibits to street theatre and live music, workshops and poetry evenings.

One of my dad's first jobs was at English Electric in Strand Road. I remember going with my mum to pick him up on dark nights when he was completing overtime. I always remember a helicopter in the scrap yard (I think on the corner of Marsh Lane/Guild Way) and I did wonder as a child how it got there. My dad witnessed the demise of the TSR2 aircraft which was a joint and revolutionary aircraft design instigated under Vickers and EE (later cancelled). He had served in the RAF and always talked fondly of the scientific breakthrough this aircraft brought and adopted in later designs. He was also fortunate to have seen the Deltic railway engine test bed with the pre-painted engine in it's 'primer' green. He always gushed about these achievements for a seemingly small company. I had a Deltic toy train as a child, in its original American-style chevron livery. It always looked cool to me. The other thing that impressed me as a child was St Walburg's Parish church - the tallest in the UK and the 5th tallest when combining other cathedral churches. Designed by Joseph Hansom, his name synonymous with Hansom Cabs, it is a staggering 309' or 94m high - I knew this fact early on as a kid and people were quite shocked when I used to blurt out the factoid. We could the slender grace of this spire, most of the time, from my childhood home in Mellor. These are great memories of childhood and indeed, despite the bad press lots of towns get, Preston is indeed a place to be proud of. It is easy to look at a place through clouded eyes, but when you dig around there is plenty to be thankful and make you happy even in what at first appears the grimmest of places. Thanks for making me feel notalgic about my own childhood and for rekindling some great memories of my engineering father. Keep up the good work. Ad altiora! (P.S. Sorry for rather a along waffle from me, there are others, but I hope you like my own memories from the 1970s)

And lets not forget the great old founder member of the football league 136 years ago, and still going strong in the championship (and maybe even the premier league this season), the worlds first ever football league champions preston north end, the Lancashire club with a plus head to head recird against all the other Lancashire clubs... Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool and Burnley.

Whats the point of putting a drone over a city and not pointing out landmarks? Not very informative for someone who doesn't know Preston.

I love Norfolk, but if you were living in a place in order to explore the rest of the UK then a central location like Lancashire would be a good start. It is a diverse county with some stunning untapped landscapes to explore and historic towns. It is in fact the location of the UK's centre (Whitendale Hanging Stone, Forest of Bowland, is the geographical centre of the UK). I am a man of the mountains and although Norfolk is stunning in a different way, the hills and mountains of Northern England are like no other.
