Could have added to the foden debate that as jack had filled in so well, had Phil immediately took his place, the story would have been “jack grealish dropped in favour of foden despite lack of game time and fitness, is this an indicator of him not being worth £100m” Media are scum and need to make something of nothing. There’s no point to them. Read your clubs website or app that’s all you need to do these days for the truth

As other post recently here, listening to Pep is learning about football not like the 90 % of the pundits and reporters who just are focus and obsess with the result and from that making excuses and making up things about what's bad or negative. Games like Forest there are no mistakes or problems at all, it's just lack of being clinical like many years defeated in Champions league for that reason.

Actually with Ibra it worked because he had something like 29 goals in 28 games,it's just that he was playing in a position where Messi would come in and when it affected messi's numbers he was asked to play on the left to which Ibra could not accept,Ibra is actually more rounded than Haaland with erilng it just seems like he is good at one thing only amd that is the box the problem with is in Pep's system you can not just have one defined role

@@mdi3024 yes. I agree with your comment. But I just feel Pep’s way of play doesn’t really care much for a high profile out and out striker too much. Barca kicked Ibra and hired a more versatile David Villa, and it did work wonders. Pep’s system works best without a true No. 9 (last season proves it). This may be unfair to Haaland. I’m also not sure why Pep hired Haaland given his experience with Ibra.

Almost every question is an attempt to get Pep to say something controversial or disrespectful so the banter pandering monkeys in the room get their headline. Last week the Sky post match interview was overtly hostile. I hope Pep doesn't get distracted by this, no matter how excellent and comprehensive the answers are (like in this interview) they will write what they want. Most are not there to report or be journalists, that era is gone in every arena not just football, they exist by providing headlines that rival fans will click on. It's not just City, it is a broken industry lacking in virtue, integrity or morality. They should be treated with contempt because it doesn't matter, as I said they will write what they want and their audience is not City fans.

If a newspaper has rotten headlines, don't buy it, don't click it, for at least a year. If they continue with rotten articles, continue with your boycott. Find out what other businesses they are involved in and boycott all of them. I've not bought or clicked on several newspapers for many years because of the crap they write. And if I can't choose "no cookies, no tracking" then I don't use that website. It's disgusting and a slap in the face when they disrespectfully say "we VALUE your privacy" - they VALUE it because they sell it. I'm surprised we've not had a major lawsuit against websites over this.

I can see why everyone is asking about Foden. However, if I was Pep I wouldn't play him for the next few games. He played after a long time a full game with Nottingham forest. However, he was being selfish when Haaland and Foden were one v one with goal keeper he didnt pass the ball to Haaland on time because he was in 2 minds if he did that on time and Haaland scored it would have been different results City could have won with 4/5 goals

Foden is good, but his jealousy for Haaland is too obvious. Didn't pass a single ball to him in the 1st half, kept dribbling and could never pass the defense. That open chance for goal, he passed too late, the commentators said it themselves. That should have been a goal. Haaland missed a sitter too, but he is also human, he won't have a 100% conversion rate. Foden thought he would be next big thing at city now that everyone was gone and then they brought Haaland and he started to break every record in PL and now most of them don't want that to happen.

A portion of football fans need to realise how toxic the media is here. Punditry is just an extension of it now days. Their sole aim is to create unrest and drama where there isn’t any. To get views. It sells more than purely footballing questions. It definitely effects players more than we realise. It’s the managers that have to sit here time after time and try to take the brunt of it and respond in a way that makes sure it doesn’t effect the player or team in question. It’s bullshit. It’s managers like pep Klopp and ten hag that make you realise it even more because they are so good at their job. Managers like that need to be a fans sole focus. What they say is what counts. Not even a city fan or a Liverpool fan but these managers aren’t the ones who’s head you call for.

Is it really that surprising given that Pep himself is a drug cheat who only got off on a technicality because the original samples couldn't be tested again years later and the press never ask him about it, even though he went on to hire the very same doctor who gave him the drugs in the first place after he became a manager?

@@primzy11 yes charges sorry, even though everyone knows they did cheat and where literally found guilty by eufa but thanks to good layers and a special sports court they got the charges lowered on a time technicality. I will not forget to say they arnt technically guilty of it they are just charged with over 100 breaches of various different charges of fairplay (cheating) and not co operating with the 4 year long investigation into them
