(This story takes place after the Hatred Selever vs. Sarvente cover by Audi. I recommend you check out that video for part 1, but anyway, let's get to it.) ----------------------------------------------- Sarvente was absolutely exhausted after pouring her very soul into her vocal cords, and so was Selever. Both of them were heavily breathing before falling on one knee. They were about as tired as a runner after an entire marathon. " **Huff** **Huff** Hold on Sel..." Sarv says, almost about to pass out. "Let me catch my breath... because that really... tired me out..." Selever grunts as he tries to stand back up before replying, "You're not the only one... who screamed those lyrics... phew..." Sarv was struggling to pick herself up as she told Sel, "Son... get me on a couch or something so I can take a nap for a bit..." "On it." The half-demon replies before lifting her mother with both arms, leaving his room, and setting her on the couch, with Sarv going unconscious out of sheer exhaustion. Sel sits down next to her and sets her head on his lap before giving her a few head pats. After a couple of hours, Ruv and Rasazy return from the library, with Ruv holding a bag with a bunch of books inside it. (Btw, Ruv and Rasazy were at a library before the whole Hatred battle happened) "Sarv, we're home!" Ruv says, calling out to Sarvente, but there was just silence. This made Ruv a bit uneasy, making him think that something must've happened with Sarv, and he didn't like it one bit. Ruv glances over at Rasazy and tells her, "Stay here, Ras, I better check on your mother." He heads into the living room and sees Sarvente asleep on the couch, with her head resting on Selever's lap. Seeing that Sarv was unharmed, Ruv lets out a sigh of relief. "She's just taking a nap..." Ruv says to himself, glad that Sarvente wasn't hurt. Selever notices Ruv and glances over at him. "Oh, hey, Dad." Sel says, not looking too pleased to see Ruv but also not too annoyed and rather chill. Ruv looks over at Selever and says, "Hey, son." "Mom and I had a rather... intense rap battle earlier, and it really tired both of us out." As Selever was conversing with Ruv, Sarvente regained consciousness and started to get up. "Ah, you're finally awake." Sel says, looking back at Sarv. Sarvente stands up, noticing Ruv before saying, "Hey, welcome back, Ruv!" Ruv ever so slightly smiles so he doesn't hurt himself (since Ruv can't smile normally without hurting himself) and replies, "Glad to see that you're awake, Sarv." "Phew, thank goodness I was able to recover from that intense rap battle. I feel recharged now, to be honest." Sarv says with a smile. "That's good because I wanted to sing a song from another music genre with you, Sarv. But first, let me ask you a question." "Alright, ask away Ruv." "Have you ever listened to rock or metal music?" Ruv asks. "I've never really listened to any metal songs," Sarvente replies. "It's just not my type of thing, Y'know?" Ruv takes his mic out and says, "Well, this'll be the first metal song you'll be singing, my dear." "Now that you mention it..." Sarvente says, "...this might be a good change of pace, Ruv." Sarv gets her mic and turns to look at Selever before asking him, "Hey Sel, can you get the speakers ready?" Selever stands up and replies, "Sure thing Mom." Before heading to his room and getting the speakers out. Sarv takes a deep breath before saying, "Wish me luck, my children." She knew this wouldn't be easy, so she's gonna give it everything she's got. "You ready, Sarv?" Ruv asks. "Phew... let's do this, Ruv." "Alright, let's go, my love. Hit it, Rasazy!" "You got it, Father!" **Pretender starts & ends** "Woah..." Sarvente says, rather shocked by how well she did. "I gotta say, for my first time singing a metal song, I did better than I thought!" "You did a good job, indeed, Sarv. "Thank you so much for introducing me to a whole new music genre, Ruv! What's that song called?" Sarv asks. "The name of it is 'Pretender'." Ruv replies. "Huh, that's an interesting name for a song. I might have to start getting into some metal tracks now." "Yeah, you should Sarv, they're really great. I've just recently started listening to some metal songs myself." Sarvente wipes a bit of sweat off her forehead and says, "Phew, that one really got my heart pounding." "I'm sure it did. Let's get some rest for now, Sarv." Ruv says as both he and Sarv sit on the couch and look through some movies they can watch.
