Saw them in 1980. Never thought about it until Relentless but, The Pretenders are one of the greatest bands and I hope they never go away.

Martin & Chrissie's love-hate relationship is on display here for everyone to see. I wish Martin hadn't gone there, it wasn't the time and place to do that. You can tell he is still bitter about it.

Well put !!!!! She was totally disrespectful cutting in on his time to announce he " he was playing crap for awhile".. He played the drums on Message of Love . Enough said ....

She replaced him to form the band that recorded "Don't Get Me Wrong" and then tried to tour with them to disastrous results . She admitted it herself : "wrong band".

Exactly. She stands back there as if it's her award and he's being allowed to say a few words when in fact he's being inducted as her equal band mate. Disappointing because I really like her but her actions at the hall of fame make her look like a control freak.

I let a friend know that her FAVORITE band, the Pretenders, would be playing in George, Wa. in a couple of weeks, they just announced it. They are opening for Neil Young & Crazy Horse. She had NEVER heard of Neil before, I told she WOULD enjoy the show. She did!!!

Good acceptance speech from Martin and loved when Chrissie interrupted Martin and He told her to " Back away from the Drummer." Was definitely rude of Chrissie. She realized that she should have said more during her time at the mic.

Wow this is so beautiful and awkward at the same time. But it's so real. Chrissie Hynde fired Martin Chambers. But it had to be done. She was the indispensable Pretender.
