This song always rips me up inside, it reminds me of the passing of my younger brother who also was my best friend. He died by his own hand and had I known he was in such terrible pain, I would have sang this song to him.

I have screened all youtube clips of this song performed live by chrissie hynde.... and this is the beat one. It was in 1994, so her performance and voice is almost as per the recorded single version.
