CPM S30V is a martensitic or hardened powder-made stainless steel also known as sintered stainless steel.
It is wear and corrosion-resistant with a hardness of 58 to 61 HRC.
The stainless steel was developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Industries in collaboration with knifemaker Chris Reeve
CPM S30V is considered a premium-grade knife steel. It is so expensive that it strongly affects the price of the knife. That's why this knife is expensive for its size.

Very nice little knife. I'm a fan of spyderco knives. My main carry is an s30v UK penknife and I also have a custom SAK that includes the dragonfly blade. Thanks for the upload. 🍻

My Favorite Flick knife of all time, which I have carried with me for about 15 years now is the rare Spyderco VIELE VS-10! It was made in Japan. It has a smaller SPYDER hole than most, and it is narrow, but is just so well made and feels like butter in the hand! The grip is Very well made! I Absolutely LOVE this knife, I go nowhere without it! My only other SPYDERCO knife is the CTS BD1 Made in Golden Colorado! .. It is a Good knife.. The steel is Awesome to the feel. The scales are cheap plastic though.. This knife will do the job, but I would not carry this everyday! And it has the LARGE SPYDER hole, which is ok if you like SPYDERCO wide style knives, but it has an unlock slider button, which I do not like.. I would rather have a thumb release. I only have this knife because I found it in a thrift store for cheap! And it looks cheap.. However it IS a SPYDERCO, which means that at the least, it IS a Decient knife. It’s very similar to my Spyderco delica 4 (VG 10) that I ordered 6 or 7 years ago, just checked the current price on the blades Canada website and the suggested price is almost twice what it was back then.

@@urbanknifeguy 😁I'm a serious man. Looks a bit like Arnold from Terminator. I can’t imagine myself wearing pink socks and a tiny pink knife) Now I have a dragonfly in my pocket with vg-10 and emerson, but I would like another one in stronger steel.
